He was very good against Leicester too, and could easily have added to his assist if not for some quality saves from Schmeichel. He looks sharp. On pens too. Westwood out injured is a blow in terms of the supply line tho

Yeah he had some chances against Leicester alright, but if he's not converting against Leicester its not a good sign (admittedly can't remember off the top of my head how good the schmeichel saves were bar one of them ).

Where's the Cisse love? 7 goals in just over 5 full games of playtime. 5.7 a bargain if he stays fit

If Benteke was to continue the form, involvement in chances, and goal threat that he had against Leicester I would certainly bring him in for what is a very favourable schedule around the New Year with minimal risk of rotation etc

And thats from someone who doesnt rate him and, in particular, his team that highly.

Pardew has promised to mind him during the Christmas period which means he won't see as much game time as we'd want if we owned him. The next 7 are very tough for Newcastle as well although he's shown he can score against anyone

Not scoring against the second weakest defense in the league is a negative, not a positive, for me.

Silva's not my favourite FPL asset as he doesn't shoot often enough for my liking but I'd rate him much higher than Fab for the game.

How can you rate Silva higher than Fabregas "for the game".
Do you not like players that consistently get points for your team???

The stats speak for themselves really...
Silva is in his 5th season in the premier league and Fabregas his 6th. This should give a good example of how they both perform in fantasy football!

A quick look at their stats show that:
Cesc avg 167 points per season playing an average of 25 games
Silva avg 156 points per season playing an average of 28 games

This is without counting this seasons points and games.
Basically Fabregas averages more points while playing significantly less minutes.
Even if you don't like Fabregas as a player or for whatever reason you cannot deny he is a much better player for the game then Silva.

I'm gonna keep Austin on the bench this week and I've gone with Lukaku rather than Bony as my Aguero replacement with this weeks fixture in mind alone, I thought Lukaku has been quite good recently and when I went over it I decided to look on it as a one week thing, I may well transfer Lukaku for Bony next week if I have nothing pressing injury wise etc. I'm waiting on word from Pellegrini as I may well take a -4 to get Silva in for Milner, Silva's not my favourite FPL asset as he doesn't shoot often enough for my liking but I'd rate him much higher than Fab for the game.

I don't see either how Silva could be rated much higher for the game than Cesc?? The stats/figures would suggest otherwise.....

Stats taken from the FF site:

    Cesc
13,334 minutes played and scored 921 points or 0.069071546 points per minute. This equates to 236 points over 38 x 90 minute games

    Silva
10,769 minutes played and scored 666 points or 0.061844182 ppm. This equates to 211 points over 38 x 90 minute games

I don't know of anywhere to get stats which would show points scored per million paid for player. The site only shows the cost the players were at end of season.

I just can't see how Silva can be described as much better than Cesc for the game. Given a choice it'd be Cesc over Silva every day of the week for me.

They were both 9m this season and will be around the same most seasons I'd say. Silva is a top top player but fantasy wise it's gotta be Cesc!

Ha ha, I'm only trying to get a rise on a boring Wednesday night.:p

Fabregas played in a far more advanced position for Arsenal though, the season he got 15 goals play havoc with your averages, he'll be lucky to score three goals this year and I have no doubt that his assists will slow down considerably. Come back to me at the end of the season, I've made my opinions very clear, I won't be hiding anywhere if I'm wrong.:)

Sound!! Let the season finish. If they stay relatively injury free Cesc will finish ahead of him.... :-)

Stall on there:eek:, that was never the deal. Fab is 46 points ahead already having played nearly twice as much minutes.
I will say that from here on I would fancy Silva to outscore Fab fairly comfortably if he stays fit, no way he'll catch him though:o

How did dzeko get on tonight ? Will those of you who were thinking of getting him still go for him ?

In the same boat, QPR is really tempting though.

Is it just me or has Lukaku regressed since his time at WBA? Haven't been impressed any time I've seen him this season. He just seems to lack the potential explosiveness he had at West Brom.

He wasn't as noticed in the WB days, wasn't signalled out for special treatment. Think teams now plan for him.

He seems like someone who's very easy to plan for though, you basically can let him have the ball all he wants outside the box, as he's very poor at linking up play and will give you the ball back with misplaced passes a lot. Think teams have figured him out.

**** it, I'm going with my gut:

    Van Persie in for Aguero
    Pantimilion in for Green

Huge chance on Van Persie, and yes it's a knee-jerk, but he does have 2 double points hauls in his last 3 games now and seems to be good for 90 minutes in the vast majority of his appearances.

It could backfire spectacularly, but I like their fixtures for the next while (rated the second best over the next few weeks by FF Scout) and when they conclude it's an easy enough swap back to Aguero without needing multiple transfers to do it due to price.

Wish me luck guys! Anyone else going for him?

I'd wait for news in Wenger's press conference on Friday, Ramsey had a tight hamstring after the Gala game and so may not feature against Newcastle.

Done it yesterday . for exactly the same reasons as yourself. Could be a captain pick every week for the next 6, I mean he could easy bag a hat trick against the Southampton b team Sunday.

Does anyone have any idea if Eriksen will rise in value this GW? He currently stands at 8.0M and hasn't gone up yet.

Have him for two weeks now and had fully intended to swap him back to Costa this week. Aguero injury means I'll be giving him at least another week and going with a front line of Costa, RVP, Bony for now.

May need to free up some of that cash pre Xmas though. Also the impact of Falcao coming in sometime soon will need to be watched.

Hopefully the impact for now is RVP playing out of his skin to stay top dog and Rooney ending up back in midfield!
