I understand that you might not experiencing problems, however this is not the case for everybody. If you take a look in youtube, and gaming forums, there are huge problems with the game and sometimes on the same machine, different issues everyday. That, puts the game in the unstable category. JC is an open world game, so there is plenty of time to play in the future. No need to get it on Day 1. I will wait.

Not having any noticible issues on a R9 290, played for an hour, it is good craic though ! Pity its another dodgy port, you'd think the fact everything is x86 would reduce these problems.

I'm on a 760gtx 4gb and have had no problems yet, everything but 1 or 2 settings defaulted to high and haven't touched them

Ah ya, totally. I was just saying I was surprised it wasn't worse for me, everyone is different though. Like yourself, I'd be against pre-ordering stuff but I saw it for €23 and couldn't resist. I agree with you that it's not a 'Day 1 must have' for most people as well. I only got JC2 when it went free with Games With Gold and still had a blast.

One thing about Just Cause though is it strikes me as the kind of game you could watch TOO much of people playing it on youtube. Definitely something I've been guilty of in the past with other games. By the time I get around to it, it feels like I've seen everything that you can do and it gets stale quick. Goes for any game really I guess, especially open world ones.

Nah. Some games or even genres can't be properly understood until playing unless you have expereicen with that genre or series. Fighting games for example.

runs terribly on my top o the pops pc. Still very playable just annoying slowdowns regardless of whats going on.

Seems if you have an Nvidia card its grand.

Got it yesterday. Plays good, except some hiccups on my GTX 970.
On the first run though, the tutorial messages, did not display the key to press, instead, all the messages were having a block in a parenthesis.
Today, without any updates, the keys seem to displayed correctly.

Is the game actually good? I mean, the story, the gameplay, and whatnot. All I seem to see from JC3 is the mad things you can do with grappling hooks.

It is nice and fun. I cannot tell how it will last, since I am only playing for a few hours, but I remember from JC2, that things getting harder as time passes. The hook yes, it us really fun!
I prefer JC from GTAs, cause I like more the military action, than the criminal guy who sells drugs and beats hookers. Gameplay is very similar.

So I upgraded to Windows 10 and the games works perfectly now on my PC. No stuttering. No lag. Can only assume it was driver problems. Much more fun now.

Have taken over most of the island, havent really bothered with the story.

taking CENTOM whilst the FOW jet was in the air was handy, nice one Mr Pilot you have done my work for me

I'm finding it almost impossible to control the planes with mouse and keyboard and I've run into a story mission that requires me to be an escort to a civilian plane in my fighter jet. So I must get the controller out and plugged in to see if that helps.

Can you not set it so the mouse points the nose of the plane around the place? Ive had to do that a few times in pc games but Ill be playing this with a controller anyway.

Controller for most of the game, used KB for the target practice tho.

I'm using the controller. The od time when I'm on fixed weapons I'll use the mouse. It's a good thing you don't need to depend on guns, using a controller for shooting is like trying knit a jumper wearing oven mitts. I tend to just run left and right rather than aiming.

Finished it there took over every settlement bar the ones I needed story missions for. Did about 5 challenges, enjoyable splodie splodie game.

Frustrating at times be it not stick to things or AMD issues.

just picked this up today, its not bad, but does anyone else find swinging with the parachute and grapple a bit fiddly? not as smooth as JC2?
i find that i could get alot quicker with it on JC 2 than i can now on JC3, the wing suit however is a very nice addition

It was different from JC2 and initially not as smooth for sure, but I've got the hang of it now and it's behaving itself nicely and I can switch in and out of wingsuit and 'chute for maximum ground coverage.

The only issue I am having after the patch, is that every time I exit to Windows, it crashes.

yeah ive been having similiar issue when exiting to windows, must hit back into it later on

Yeah. The latest patch has caused the game to CTD everytime I quit the game. It used to try and exit for about 25 seconds with the sound looping...then exit.

Anybody know if there's a map or guide for the military assets locations?
I can't for the life of me find 2 transformers in the Griphon base, I've searched it from top to bottom and it's driving me nuts.

Are there not red icons on the game map? They can be hard to spot but should be there

I've never noticed them if there are
I found them in any case, must have passed them 10 times :pac:
