You're a racist. Don't deny it. If you do then the vociferousness of the denial will just show your guilt.
Because apparently you then asking me for examples of you being a racist is evidence that you're a racist.

If my posts contained an undercurrent of bias against any particular race - or even a tendency to regularly deny that racism exists - I'd find an accusation of racism very difficult to deny.

While you were wasting your time looking up the meaning of misogyny, who was washing the dishes or tending to the man of the house HUH?:D

I think feminism has gotten louder recently. I wouldn't go so far as to say as it's gotten 'cool' but it kind of has--look at the icons now: Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling, Taylor Swift, Lena Dunham. The list goes on and is far longer than even going back a couple of years ago. That exposure, as it were, means more media coverage and more media coverage means more discussions--so more of it on Boards too, I'd imagine. Where there's feminism, there's misogyny.

You find it amusing that there is a subtle undercurrent of misogyny on After Hours? Fair enough.

I have to say that I agree with Sparky. I was reading this thread posted yesterday

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057321846

and I found many of the comments to be misogynist, they display, perhaps, not an outright hatred of women, but a definite dislike.

Here are some of the examples. Yes, I know it’s AH, but I rarely see similar “jokes” by women about men and they are so automatic, it's seems like second nature to make a stupid remark about women. It's clearly the default position of many here.

I suppose he didn’t say “Piss on yore ma” because the thread was about the OH’s girlfriend.

To be fair, it was mostly this now locked thread "Limerick mum and five children told ‘go to hostel"
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057321864 which was riddled with charming comments about reproduction, that got my back up, but I can't be arsed going over it as well.

Oi read the post again and if it goes over your head again, ask someone else to explain it to do. Do not however try and twist something to suit your argument. Nor should you tarnish me by doing so, in fact i am actually highly offended by your post and i would very much like you to publicly retract this here, in the public forum where you decided you would make such a statement

Attacking him? Really? This is the.poster who's made horrible comments about women over the years so I'm kinda out of sympathy for him as one of the few female long-term posters left in here.

I didn't make a statement. I asked a question. Do you need me to explain what a question mark is for?

I've noticed a few recently, most started by new posters with very low post counts which seems a bit suspicious. They seem to try and be subtle about it though

I find that graphic highly offensive.

How dare you associate that picture of me with those views?

Whats wrong with pink hair :P Also I'm listening to L7 so can;t judge!

I brought up Feminism because sometimes equating a dislike of aspects of feminism is equated to misogyny, thats not to say that there isn't probably posters that use a dislike of Feminism to cover their misogyny with a socially acceptable veneer.
Recently there has been a lot of media coverage of so therefore more threads on it, these threads are a magnet for the latter people.

About the wider point you mentioned about how people actually are, I think people are generally nicer and less argumentative than here in real life, I know I am, the last day I asked the OH some question about a Victorias Secret add that caused an online campaign, if it was on here I would have probably spent ages and ages arguing with her and we would have both left been left with the impression that the other person was a clueless overly PC fool or a lonely bitter man, in real life about 5 minutes because in reality its a small thing and you actually care about the other persons feelings. This serves as an outlet for my argumentative side because I don't really care how poster X feels (and I know they will realise how wrong they are if I just explain a little more ;) )

yes but it was rhetorical, and presumptuous the fact you wont retract it shows what you meant......Im not stupid and dont imply that i am....

When did I imply that you're stupid?

(You don't need to answer that, by the way. It's a rhetorical question.)

the likes angela scanlon makes me misogynistic, so many women are like that these days..pretentious, fake, think they're hilarious..At the back of it all the bull**** they know they can use they're sex appeal/looks to get what they want.

100% this. Feminists should try to sort this, not a difficult thing to do either so we may see it happen soon.

I think OP created a load of accounts to make misogynistic comments over the past few weeks just so she could create this thread and cause a big hullabaloo over an apparent increase in misogyny on boards these days, which is completely untrue.

    Women, eh?
