Don't apply the zero cache tweak to android boxes - it is highly recommended not to do this as it is very bad for these boxes.

Genesis has been going to sh*t for a while now, ever since they started doing all these updates. I mean, it's gone from 4.8 to 5.5 in less than a month!! There is an older version of it being recommended on some forums. I find it very hit and miss to be honest - especially with the HD streams (which is what I want). There is either no stream available or it can't play the streams with 5.1 sound or it buffers and comes up with cache full (even though I've just emptied all cache files/sources). If someone can recommend a better source for HD tv shows, I'd be happy to hear from them. I use The Mutts Nutts, YIFY HD and Phoenix for movies.

Also, is anyone having issues with the YIFY HD movies add on lately? It's a fantastic source but has been giving me problems over the past week or so....

Why is it not advised for Android Boxes to apply the cache tweak ?

i think it can damage the internal storage.

Have a look at this page: http://kodi.wiki/view/Caches_explained

    Refer to bit in bold:
Note: The zero cache mode/settings does not improve video buffering or performance.

Did you try different sources? And limit them to as few as possible? I could remove everything else, and have only them... :)

Wasn't sure if isp was throttling the line, assurede they weren't though.

    Think I'll try again

It definitely increases the amount if buffers by, that way you don't have to worry about it stuttering. I have had that tweak on my Android box for over a year now its fine.

They're a funny shower. No input from them since mid-July and then a flood of posts in Sept. Won't reply to Facebook questions and no replies to any query I sent them through their Contact page.

Steer clear of that shower, offer you a 1 month 'trial' but once you sign up they keep taking the payments from your card.

Vdubt25 has some personal issues and is only doing updates here n there.

Dexter is just ripping Stalker afaik so it won't ever be reliable.

Vdubt25 working fine for me, NBCSN working great.

For a good while I had issues with it until I figured out it couldn't handle the fada in my name (which was also on my Windows login).

Why would you be putting your name into the vdubt25 add on???

I use it on a Windows machine, so the folders are something like C:/username/Kodi.

Liux accepted my cancellation via their website contacts link recently.

No reply or confirmation or anything but my sub definetly expired.

    I then re-subbed with the 40% discount.
You can now generate a m8u list for use in Playlist Loader on Kodi and it works very, very well.

I'd recommend using a 3v card or similar for these kind of sites.

At least if its a scam they can't keep taking money from the card!

Didn't realise that. So are they OffSS ?

    I'll try and cancel so.
I had only seen Liux mentioned here, and then saw the coupon appear.

This is my first time trying them. It was only €4, so not too bothered.

    Liux have a 40% discount?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,381 ✭✭✭✭Allyall

    I'm confused..
Are Liux leeching (similar to PPVBay) or are they a branch of OSS?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,902 ✭✭✭✭Kristopherus

Yep. Look for them on F-book. They have the details there.
