I couldn't believe how cheap they were around 950 on a golf fully comp with break down assist covering me to drive any car and all that. Everyone else is probably thinking that's expensive but for my age I though it was very cheap.

    It's all relative really.
I'm paying 300e odd less than you with 3 years NCB, TPFT, a named driver and I'm 27.

If you go from a nag to a stallion that might make you're premium go up. Amirite ;) ?

Maybe in normal places but not here! 406 insurance last year was €1080, or a 520i for €829....

It happened again, bhp down, premium up

I knew you weren't but I've heard of people who've got it that weren't. It's handy but unnecessary in a lot of ways. Although it does mean you can drive whatever you want and you get two discs which you can put on anything as there is no reg numbers on them. Pros and cons I suppose maybe non mechanics and garages can't get it anymore.

I could get it, inquired at 23 and was glad I was sitting down when I was told the quotes I was getting...!:eek::eek: I may try again next year and see how they tell me to sod off again :P

Reg number becomes your name

Speaking of car insurance quotes I got a few a few weeks as I was thinking of buying a car (although now I'm not I'm keeping the golf). I don't know what liberty are like but they were giving me quotes at about half the price I was thinking in my own head. I'm only 20 and I though the car insurance was very reasonable well on a golf car around 2008 I'm not sure if there in a particularly low risk group.

I've always found liberty mad dear. About 400 euro more than chill on the last renewal. Just realised that in 18 months I'll be 30 with 5 years NCB.

Anyone know what the story is with changing car mid insurance policy? Engine size will be the same or less. Do they generally charge big admin fees?

Ah yep all 3 are mechanics alright so that could be your difficulty I'm sure if you ring enough places one won't find it an issue insurance seems to be like that.

Yeah, then the fuel pump went :pac:

Here the drivers door on my car appears to have mysteriously dropped about 1/3 of an inch, and has to be hoiked up to get it to shut. Random occurence this evening at about 9pm :pac:

Balls! A mate of mine is a fitter is getting me nice adapters and stuff to make up a bleeding kit that runs off the spare tyre but he's a bit of a space cadet and hasn't got them yet. Any plumbing place I went to looking for a threaded schrader valve looked at me like I'd two heads.

Are the bolts holding the bracket loose causing it to drop a bit well this would be if the top bracket was loose.

Right I've had enough of getting quotes for the night, Axa are more expensive as a new customer than on the renewal, the AA are about the same, as are Aviva
