Indeed i don't, but I'm glad of it because the lengths i went to today to only find out it was a shyte bulb that was in it drove me demented, whole front end was taken off, looms traced back to points, fuses blown, more tests done that the leaving cert, only to find it was a crap bulb

Kept me busy for a few hours though! :pac:

Has anyone noticed recently there is alot of cars going around with defective / worn breaks. The noise out of some of them coming to a stop at junctions when you'd be walking by pure metal on metal. I can't understand if your brake disks are gone why you wouldn't change them. Brakes and tyres are ultimately the most important part of the car. I've often walking and I'd swear an artic or something was coming to a stop behind me and I'd turn around and it would be a ford focus or something like that.

Some cars just squeal for no rhyme or reason.

Well now infairness it's easy enough to tell difference between a slight squeak in the breaks from lack of copper grease or something like that and then the metal on metal sound a car makes when there is nothing left on the pads. But I do see your point but I'm talking about extreme nice and you can see the cars almost struggling to come to a stop.

Well it wouldn't need to, seeing as it's Japanese

Google Bosozoku, it's a thing, a very old and big thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,974 ✭✭✭Chris_Heilong

That is one style that should stay in Japan.

Ha. It was JDM Ireland and usually the cars are Irish that are on it so I assumed it was Irish with out even looking at number plate.

Jesus see some of those Bosozoku yokes arer crazy. They must have very laxed motor laws in Japan. You wouldn't be able to do that in Ireland or most other countries in the world. Sure a dump valve is illegal in Australia. Sure another time I was watching some police show in New zeland and this girl had the front of her estate slamed and the back high and she got done as well.

That looks absolutely ridiculous. Why would someone do something like that, what exactly does it offer bar making the driver look like a twat?

So I want to upgrade the headlight bulbs (H7) in the S60. Are Osram nightbreaker unlimited the way to go? If so, is it worth doing the fogs (H1) and high beams (HB3) too?

Seems like an odd bulb combo. Have you mixed up high beams and fogs. Id do high beams too, you'll be glad some dirty winter's night. Fogs only worth doing if you want all colours to match... The 3 times a year you need fogs on... ;-)

Edit, you haven't mixed up the bulbs, but still seems like a weird expensive combo to me!

The astra has hb3's as fulls too, stumped me when i seen them.
I've recently upgraded to hid's all around and the difference is unreal, I bought h7r's for the dims which are made so that you don't get the usual glare from them.
    All done for €55 :)

My Shocks came today, but only the rears, there was a miscomunication.

But what an absolute scumbag of a postman, the woman who delivered them was fine, my wife answered the door and signed before the woman handed her the package, then I came and we noticed the package was torn and there were only 2 shocks(we were expecting 4) and on the docket it said 4 items so we said to the woman there should be four, so she called her supervisor, he was 5 minutes away but when he came he seemed in a right mood, before any of us could speak he just kept repeating, "did you sign? did you sign?" If you signed then not our fúcking problem!" I was completely shocked, I said "you are a very rude man" and he made so remark about the post woman not being able to understand my wife because she is Chinese(my wife speaks really good english), I remained polite throughout but it was all to much and I could not understand it. When he left he said for****sake, so I said the only reason your angry is because you had to come down here yourself. Dope, all we wanted to do was ask if there was anything we could do but this guy had to much attitude.

If he had said that about my foreign wife I'd have decked him. Shoved the other two shocks up his hole.

How I feel after failing to change my fuel pump.

Success! S60's fuel pump replaced and she's running better than ever. My half assed diagnosis was correct. Hairline crack in the old pump which resulted in fcuk all fuel pressure. No more chugging and hopefully the economy will improve a tad. My mechanic said it nearly broke him trying to do the job because the lock ring was so tight. The only thing is the car reeks of petrol for now.

Also ordered nightbreaker h7's, standard h1's (blown foglight bulb) and LEDs for the reg plate lights :)

Also renewed the insurance at a €100 increase :(

    Also taxed it recently :(

    Sooo...
