This is hardly fair considering just the other week a groud of people were disqualified for similar speeds. Something tells me that this had something to do with her being a local "celebrity".
Should have been banned. The fact that she had no idea she was doing that speed tells me she shouldn't have that licence at all.

So not only do we give leniant sentences to 61 year old scum bags with child porn on the computers (3 years) we now admire the honesty of people who drive near twice the speed limit and let them off the hook with a mesely 500e fine?
    Fcuking joke.

You get at least double that fine for running green diesel. Joke is right.

She got her 15 minutes years ago. I think Mammy and Daddy are of a certain class here in Limerick but sure that obviously had nothing got to do with it :pac:

I really hope there is an uproar about it (pff keep dreaming) and the decision to remove the licence is given.
Actually, rereading that it doesn't seem to mention if any points were given?! At the fooking least she got points!?

The closest to uproar you'll get is the comments under the link on the newspapers FB page

    Sadly, you are correct.

So did she even get penalty points was it four points and the 500 euro fine. She should have been banned 67 kmh is just to much to be over the speed limit like that's 56 % over the speed limit so it's not like she was just marginally over it. But it's ok because honesty was refreshing.

Hilarious, last week's judge couldn't even comprehend how people could reach 160, and 140 on the motorway was a despicable and deplorable act.

This week, almost 190 = lovely girl, shur butter wudnt melt in her mouth....

I reallt don't think she got any points. I think it was the 500e fine and that's it.

Fair fcuks, she played it right. We all would try do what she did in the same situation.

Just the €500 fine according to the article.

What are the odds of a man getting the boys will be boys treatment in that judges courtroom? :pac:

Be honest? Well ya. But I can guarantee I'd be without a licence at the end

That was Judge Mary Larkin. I've seen her in action and she's normally reasonable. Someone must have pissed in her cornflakes that morning.

The rules are just too weird here though. Those people last week were banned but she just gets let go because she was late for an appointment. This constitutes being extremely honest now.
Yes, if I was brought in front of the judge I would be telling the truth but I'd also be expecting a ban and a big fine.

Tbf she won't be doing much speeding in a 1.4 Golf :pac:

I'm not at all sure how “and I was extremely late for an appointment. I was driving my mother’s car and didn’t realise how fast I was going” that makes any sense, it reads to me, I was late so I was going fast.

This is just some posh, well connected young lady being treated leniently.

A disgrace really, honesty me arse.

A few more wonderful pics of the "excellent workmanship"

    http://omg.wthax.org/7sHe6d.jpg
    http://omg.wthax.org/8aMmBb.jpg

There's also big scrapes all on the inside of the wheels from weight removal.

But.... In the words of the lads there
"There's no way you can do that fitting a tyre, not possible"
    "That's from hitting a kerb"
    "That was there before hand"
"Sure you can see thats not a fresh mark"

    And other such gems

    This is:
    A) Despite the fact the wheels were 100% before having the tyres changed
    B) Damage on all 4 wheels, must be some kerb
    C) The tyres previously on the car had rim protector sidewalls, all of which were undamaged
    D) The damage extends behind the edge of the alloy back to the bead line, that's some kerb.

After handing over €500 for 4 tyres and to end up with over €300 worth of damage to your wheels...

They were indeed but apparently that ended !

Will have to look anyway. Either way getting as much done today as possible.

Just had the seals and washers and nuts replaced on the 4 injectors, all cleaned and all put back together. So hopefully that went well !

the amount of carbon was welding them to the engine :O
