    The reason plastidip was invented.

Who in their right mind would paint/wrap/plastidip a Harlekin Golf (or Polo)?

No I'm stuck inside studying for exams :( you'd see the od one going around the city specially the older models.

Sickened for ya! I'm at work but saw it once in the morning and once at lunch. Looked like a '12 or '13, black and on English plates. Was a nice one to be stuck behind.

Jesus I was only thinking the same thing. Thinking of getting the back 3 on the Volvo done

Car is black and the back is never really occupied so I figured I'd get the 3 tinted out. New radio on the way too, well once the seller decides to send it on!

At least you could use it in public afterwards. The alternative (gallon of petrol and a firelighter) wouldn't leave you with much. :P

Yeah I love them! Shame there are only a handful of original golf and polo harlequins in this country.

I was following a Irish made vento harlequin and it turned out brilliantly

I've never seen a Golf or Polo Harlequin in the flesh, let alone a Vento. Haven't even seen a replica!

Sounds like the name of one of those tuning garages in Japan!

    Emissions garage!

That's not nice at all, but not necessarily something major, Bpmull.

Yesterday I noticed that the rear doors do not open from inside on my Golf. I was a little scared because I didn't see any child lock buttons or anything. Today I found this tab which had to be pushed up and now they open just fine. :)

I can honestly say that I have my one just over 11 months 29k km I have on it and the only two warning lights that have ever come on is fuel and blown bulb warning. The only problem I have is the stupid headlight adjuster motor shorting which I am thinking of just pulling the fuse on for the moment.

    Jinxed yourself there I think!

If it drives fine it's probably something minor like a coil pack. I had the same with my E39.

Will be sorting a new stereo too. Badly needed. So I've that, new wheels, tint, body work repair, small bit of interior work, new plates plus other bits to do. Never ending project this this yoke. People ask why I'm spending so much (which I'm not) on a €700 car. I tell them because it was a 700 car and a reasonably good one at that.

Did you have a gun to their head when you offered them 700? I've said it before but that was a very good price for that.

He needed the money because he was moving to Norway or something. I thought it was too good to be true but I took the risk anyway. Had 6 months NCT and all. I've had a couple of issues since I bought it but nothing too major. Have dgt to thank for posting it in bangernomics that time (October 13). S60's never even crossed my mind when I was looking for a car.

That's the price of a night out in Norway I'd say!

Crisis averted the golf fixed itself on the way to the garage the light went out. I got it scanned anyway showed up 4 faults for the 4 glow plugs but they were intermittent and mechanic said not to worry about them that they would cause the engine management or effect the car unless I was trying to start it at -20 degree c. The main fault was the air flow meter. He cleared all the faults rescanned it and it's not showing any now.

So the mechanic said to drive it on and see what happens it mightened show up again if it does I'll go back and they can take it from there. That mechanic used to do the work on it for the previous owner he done the timming belt and all. He even said to me that it's a super clean and mechanically sound example so always nice to hear that.

You could do with cleaning it a bit :P

Car is running better as it warms up outside. Not as chirpy in cold starts, no more condensation out the tailpipe.

Noticed I tend to drive faster when depressed, but so it goes.

I'm gonna miss single digit temps in one way- 7 or 8 degrees seemed to give a nice bit of bass and torque to the subaru.

Sometimes you just need to give the car a good blast ha? Clears the mind.

Ah yeah. Get it properly rattling. Blast out all the carbon.

The RX likes it warm. Actually starts better when hot.

So the eml light issue is sorted out turns out it was me that was causing it not the car. That fuse I pulled does headlight motors and live feed to the maf sensor so I think you see where this is going :) eml was coming on as the maf was getting no data. Thanks to george dalton for solving the mystery on the other thread I had he really does have an unbelievable knowledge of cars and such a nice guy too.

Now just need to sort the headlight motor!

Meh it's been like that for 6 months it's not causing any harm other than being noisy and doesn't allow the headlight on that side to adjust up and down which isn't the end of the world as its set and focused correctly anyway. I plan on getting a few bits and pieces done on it over the summer so I'll get it disconnected then.

Unless it's pointing North with a load it should be alright.
