I'd be surprised if both motors died at the same time unless something froze in both as already suggested. As a temporary fix you may be able to physically adjust them but you might do more harm than good. I'd do it as a last resort, some debug would be the first choice.

Hope you got all details as you may find pain later or tomorrow.

Not at all saying oh screw them for every cent but you know yourself some sudden impacts can actually cause small to huge problems.

    Good news all ok though.

    Any pics of car

Was driving inbound on the N7 earlier today towards Newlands Cross. A car in the middle lane wanted to take the J2 Kingswood exit but was obviously a bit late in getting across the lanes. What does he/she do? Completely stop the car in the middle lane until traffic in the left lane was clear.. nearly caused a pile up.

It is something I will never understand but it's funny they will usually be the ones that get away with it but hurt or kill others in the process.

I would have taken reg. and called traffic watch on 1890205805

When is an 08 Landcruiser not an 08 Landcruiser..?

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/08-landcruiser-4-2-january/8224178

EDIT: Is it supposed to be 98?

EDIT Again: Yeah.. it's a 98.. for some reason I think it looks odd (even for a 98 it doesn't look quite right to me for some reason..?)

It look like an 08 tbh. Seems to have the LED rear lights.

    I think it's a Land Cruiser Amazon.

In the UK. It was called the VX or 100VX here.
Was replaced by the Land a Cruiser V8 4.6 around 09 or so.

There were 42 of those type regged here in 08. All before July :)

Once you go black you never go back!!! I'm thinking gun metal Grey or not but might stay as they are with refurb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,295 ✭✭✭Supergurrier

Just didnt like the standard Grey, plus wheels were in bits and needed a refurb anyway.

Ya the locks in the focus were frozen earlier. Need to sort out the locks, or if I can, get a button key. At 200 yoyo's I don't know will I bother. Need to find a front splitter thing too, then as far as I'm concerned the cosmetics are done... for now. Was convinced earlier on in the year that I was going to put a set of full leather seats into it, I seen a full set for around 100, but meh.

Anywho, I've bigger fish to fry. Need to get her to the mechanic tomorrow. The list is growing longer. Could do with a service, but that can wait for another two or so thousand miles.

Probably will need a new clutch, although it's not too bad atm, just slightly noising.

Power steering pump will probably need changing - difficult to turn and clicking

At least 2 new front tyres, maybe 4, haven't looked at the back properly

    Wiper motor

Washer jets need attention - when you spray up water on the front, it comes down on the back window too....

Drivers door is getting difficult to unlock - drivers rear door don't lock with the central locking either, needs to be locked from the inside

    Handbrake cable is ridiculously loose

Rear brakes are screeching - probably pads

Knocking from rear left wheel when turning - don't know what that is

That's all that I have spotted, I'm sure there's more, and that's before the NCT is done.....

My luck with the Mondeo has run out :(

RX8 officially the most reliable car in the house. Again. It seems the cold killed the battery in the Megane parked outside.... While the rotary chrips and roars to life, defiant against the winter chill.

Then does a half-spin on black ice. Whoopsie.

Wiper motor - scrapyard+1hr of your time

Washer jets need attention - when you spray up water on the front, it comes down on the back window too.... They should be easily adjusted

Drivers door is getting difficult to unlock - drivers rear door don't lock with the central locking either, needs to be locked from the inside

Handbrake cable is ridiculously loose - 10 minute job if you have a socket/spanner set

Rear brakes are screeching - probably pads -new pads ahoy!

Knocking from rear left wheel when turning - don't know what that is Probably bushings and or droplinks if they're in the back

I had a look at my noisey constantly running passenger headlight range motor today trying to disconnect the motor. Turns out you needs to take out the headlight and take it apart. Now I've had loads of headlights out before in the focus astra older octavia normally a few screws. Golf take of the grill the front wheel, wheel arch liner to get at the screws I was just like fcuk that let it rattle. One day it will annoy me enough to bother fixing it but not yet.

I'm more annoyed over my scratched up driver window. I know this maybe a stupid question but is there some kind of cutting compound etc you can get for glass that would take some of the lighter scratches out. Something I could ideally use by hand no machine polisher and get in the likes of halfords any ideas ?
