What a **** day. Crashed my partners car at lunch time. Spun out on black ice on a bridge. Thought I was going over into a river at the time but stopped just short. Fceking roads aren't salted up north.

Jaysus m8, at least you are still in one piece and not wet.

I'll do a bit in the something i did thread but i think a project thread may be in order for the birth of a drift car :)

Pretty bad here in south Dublin

Cold enough, but cloudy here, not freezing. Ice stretches on the back roads have actually started to melt in the past few hours.

Trying to book my NCT online, just to see if there is any close enough dates (rang 3 weeks ago, and they said they'd text a date back to me within 10 days, so far nada.) Couldn't be bothered looking for my log book with date of first registration, so I put in what I thought was the date, now they've "locked the registration" and please call X number. Ah bejaysus

For future reference Noccy, the day and month your nct expires plus the year of production will give you the registration date :)

Hmm and who said it first :)

The astra uses a drop of coolant, probably a couple of litres a month, can't find a leak but it appears fine.
I'll live and not worry until it really shows signs it's giving in.
I only done the head on that about 6 months ago though!

    I wonder :P

Mine has been behaving itself as of late, but when i was going up and down to work there last week or so, i was going through 5l bottles like no ones business, I would do the head myself, but I know absolutely 0 about it, and setting it up properly and so on, if anything i'd make it worse

Oh yeah. Never had any problem with them.

And funny thing - I had their "wows" recorded (dashcam footage) over my car's mods last time I NCT'd it. One tester called another to show him interior and boot. I LOLed when I watched a movie after the test. :D
