Mine is a one and one(cod and chips). Share the cod with someone else and order a battered sausage on top. No sauces. Just a drizzle of vinegar and a sprinkle of salt on top.

A can of orange to wash her down.

What's your guilty pleasure at the chipper?

Damn you! Original plan for stir fry for dinner running out the door.

Hard to beat good quality fish and thick-cut chips.

I'm training at the moment so I can't eat anything remotely like that for the next two months. However, once fight night is over I'm straight to the chipper and will be getting:

Large chips, cheese and garlic; battered sausage and double quarter pounder with cheese.

Those chicken burgers are rank, hardly any chicken in them and what 'chicken' they do have are not the nice bits!

Chicken fillet is the only way to go!

I know, but a chicken fillet burger is too chickeny or something, a chicken burger is all crispy with the right balance of toppings and bun

I had nice chipper chips once in Courtown, they were almost all little crispy ones! I get on with most people cos of this though, everyone else likes the big chips and I just take the little ones from the bottom of the bag

The vinegar makes them soggy. Ask them to just for a sprinkle of salt only.

Chips, Quarter Pounder with cheese and a Spice Burger.

    Can of Orange

Loads of Vinegar on the chips and Spice Burger, small bit of salt.

    A snack-box all the way.

With the chips on top as usual, never allow them to put vinegar onto the snack-box because it makes the chicken go soggy, it ruins it. Take the chicken out and just plaster the chips with vinegar only.

People who take chips of other people's plate or from other people's bag of chips have a special place reserved for them in hell.

    Horrible behaviour.

Doner kebab - not a big fan of chipper chips either.

Look at you. You're so much better than people who like to indulge in the occasional takeaway.

Fresh Cod/Quarter pounder with cheese & chips with a portion of curry sauce.

Folk thinking it's alright to put their fingers in and grab a handful. Do you want a bag to yourself?

Are you short of the few bob, lads? What do you want? I'll get it. Hate sharing my main meal with anyone that's not blood or a significant other.

Double Quarter pounder with Bacon cheese and Salad with Chips.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,202 ✭✭✭✭jimgoose

Two quarter-pounders with no lettuce and extra cheese, and large portion of chips. No soft-drinks and I'll do me own salt-'n'-vinegar.

Oh - sometimes I'm partial to a Philly Cheesteak. My local Angina Emporium does them as well, pure daycint bah.

yet to find an Irish chipper that is any use - why do most of them prebatter then heat up - would it be too much to batter items fresh - I would wait the extra 1 minute for well battered crispy chippy food..

and don't even mention frozen chips!
