Here we go again. Another goal or two against Swansea then as Jose plays up to the injury rumours ;)

A lot of wildcarders will take him out of their final teams if he is yellow or red flagged.

News on Costa will determine whether or not I play my wildcard. I can't afford to replace him and I already used my FT. Was contemplating Rooney to Falcao but Falcao is no option as a transfer for Costa. Can't afford Studge or Aguero without downgrading Larsson to King. (Which was the plan anyway.)

    Costa injured according to Skysports.

I've a feeling he's going to turn into Aguero 2.0 - undroppable when fit, bit missing 10 games each season

This will slow down Rooney's drop :-)

I was waiting on my transfers just in case Costa got injured...it may just be a precaution but best to wait till closer to the end of next gameweek.

Costa -> Balotelli for me, if Sturridge and Costa are out for the next GW.

He will be the guy I bring in rather than Costa too. If Sturridge was to be injured and Costa was fit, id provably end up downgrading Van Persie to Balo too

    How injured is Sturridge?

My guess would be a little bit more than costa.

The mirror are reporting 3 weeks . With Costa It wouldn't surprise me if there is nothing wrong with him with expanded qualifying for euros the qualifiers are pretty much a non event for the likes of Spain.

3 months in Sturridge terms then.

I get the feeling Costa could be a little injured most weeks. Nothing like a bit of weekly drama anyway :)

I remember the last time he was "injured"

I actually don't buy into Balotelli at all. But he's probably still a better option than Lambert.

I was very impressed watching him during his debut.
Missed a load of chances but very encouraging.

I can't get my head around how "he's probably still a bit better than Lambert".
Rickie Lambert hadn't played in the top flight in England until he was nearly 30.
He's in a different league altogether.

Lovren is overpriced for what Liverpool offer at the back and Robertson has other players breathing down his neck for his place.

Ward Prowse is 5 million so why not go for someone 4.5 who will only play when needed? A Marney or David Jones. You've 7 strong attackers so will never play them. WP may not be sure of his place either with new player signings.

That'll save a half a mil because having two Leicester defenders on your bench, including one who doesn't play, is a risky strategy.

You should go Elliott sub goalkeeper in case Krul gets injured. That way you have the Newcastle goalie and sub goalie.

Good advice there, I normally wouldn't want a selection nightmare with the 8th attacker, but with Welbeck up front I think I would like to have someone with points scoring potential like WP in there as a back up for a while.

£0.5m can be saved on WP.
£0.5m can be saved on Lovren (Stoke's Pieters) or £0.4m on Southampton's Clyne.
Swansea's Taylor offers more guarantees than Hull's Robertson in my opinion.
Why Wasilewski? Because £3.9m? Wisdom's £0.1m more expensive but from another team and plays.

That's about £0.8-£1.0m that can be saved to upgrade Welbeck in case though there's no stand out alternative in the £7-8m bracket. Assuming you've got £0.0m in bank and you do save £1.0m, Jovetic, Dzeko and Adebayor for example would require respectively an extra £0.3m, £0.6m and £0.7m. Don't know if you'd will to get that by downgrading someone else...

Or if you follow PARlance advice you have £0.5m to upgrade WP to a stronger 5th midfileder. You'd be £0.1m short for Dyer.or Larsson who have already proven greta value in the past. For £5.5m Routledge, Downing, Noble, maybe McGeady could be interesting.
