yup!he just had another few to top it off.Should I stop giving him the sugar/water solution now ?

See how he goes with the next couple of feeds without it, if he's still feeding as well then you can stop it all together, if he weakens a bit again then you can give it as needed. Glad to hear he's doing so well this evening :)

    yeah what sillymango said.

He seems to be thriving now and getting hungrier which is a great relief, let him get plenty sleep now.

Yeah he'll just spontaneously combust if you use anything other than your own body heat :P

He'll be fine with the hot water bottle don't worry! Get some well earned zzz's for yourself. I don't envy the night feeds :P

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm sitting here, frightening the dog because I'm laughing right out loud and crying at the same time!!! I'm so delighted to hear of the kitten's progress I'm nearly beside myself!!! Well done damagegt, you're a total star........that beer is well deserved and begs for a partner or two!

I'm so happy I won't be able to sleep!

We sent our first cat to get spayed and the vet called to say he couldn't do it as the cat didn't have the necessary parts
We got him neutered instead. :D

Don't forget the paperclip, the rubberband and the ducktape - you're no McGyver without them...

    1.Wrap kitten in tin foil.
2.Place kitten on hot water bottle for 1 hour turning occasionally
    3.Serve with milk and enjoy

I don't know if anyone has said this but at that age the kitten is not able to empty it's bladder on it's own, you have to turn the kitten on it's back and wipe it's abdomen down with a cloth until it produces urine. In the wild that would be done with the mother's tongue. Do this a couple of times a day. Apologies if you have already been advised of this.

Beautiful kitten OP. Is it me or does it look like a longhaired kitten? Maybe too early to tell.

    I never knew that!....

This thread has been a fountain of knowledge apart from the "good feel" factor that there is some good in the world (thanks to d) for kitty's out there!

Most certainly long hair.Hes about half the size in person then he is in the pictures.Hes all hair.He has got some giant size paws. They seem excessively big compared to his body.

Give him a gentle scratch behind the ears and under his chin from all of us, please - we can't reach to do it ourselves...

His paws will probably look smaller when he grows up a bit and begins to be able to withdraw his claws. Otherwise, it's a tiger, not a kitty!

lol.He was keeping me awake at night. So I wanted to find who own him or where was he .The plan wasnt to keep him just find him so I could get some sleep.Little did I know. After calling to houses trying to find him.I was told by several of the neighbors that a lady feeds quite a few of the feral cats but thats it,none of them are neutered so year in year out they breed. An elderly man I called to said his dog and eaten two of them and he wanted nothing more to do with the cats. Then I stumbled across this poor fella and his dead siblings. Its dinner time again, hes getting so demanding:)
