This thread is gone mad, sooner tomorrow comes the better so it's not updating every minute or two. Go with your gut or else read the other threads,

It's just a bit of fun, lighten up mate

    The final cut.

    Mannone

    Debuchy, Terry, Lovren

    Siggy, Sanchez, Mata, McCarthy, Ramsey

    Costa, Rooney

Pretty damn happy with it I must say!

Goalies: Weakest link in the team, I think. Have Guzan & Foster for the clubs home and away pattern. So essentially, one of the two will always be at home.

Defenders: Smalling picks himself. Kind fixtures and will be a certain starter for Man United. His goal threat from set pieces is helpful too. Chose Debuchy because his first fixture is kind and should start every week. Final defender is Pieters, cheap at 5.0 and Stoke are very good at home.

Midfielders: No explanation needed for Fabregas/Sterling/Mata. Went for Lamela cause I think he will be a big success this season. Has had a full pre-season under his belt. Will play just behind Adebayor and I think Pochettino's style of play will suit him.

Forwards: Rooney has to be in any team I think. Chelsea have some nice games over the first few weeks so I went with Costa. Hull played some attractive football last season and Jelavic is there only out and out striker. Can't think of a better option for his price. Also doesn't have a high ownership so shouldn't be worried about a price drop.

Bench: Rotating between van Aanholt/Colloccini because of the home/away pattern. Was going to pick O'Shea, but his high ownership scared me away.

My Concerns: No Manchester City or Arsenal attacking players has me worried with their threat on front of goal.

Appreciate any opinions or criticism! Thanks :)

    Anybody?

It's a solid team. A couple of changes I'd make:

GK's: I'd rotate Krul and Foster instead of Foster and Guzan.
They are the same price and although they don't rotate home/away perfectly they offer nicer combined schedule:
    First 10 games:

    Foster/Guzan: SUN/NEW/HUL/EVE/ARS/BUR/MCI/MUN/CRY/lei
    Foster/Krul: SUN/avl/CRY/sou/HUL/BUR/swa/LEI/CRY/lei

Defence has nice mix of top team players (Smalling, Debuchy) and rotation possibilities (Coloccini, Van Aanholt). Stoke have good fixtures and Pieters should start.
You could downgrade one of these guys if you are playing 3-4-3 and get the 0.5 to change Sterling to Ramsey.

Midfield: You are leaving yourself a bit open to Arsenal doing well early on without either Ramsey or Sanchez - I'd go with one of Sterling and Lamela and try to work in Ramsey.
Liverpools early games are tricky (Southampton, City Away, Spurs Away) so you could get away without Sterling early on.

Forwards: Rooney and Costa seem to be no brainers - both in over 35% of teams and Jelavic should be the main man at Hull now that Long has gone. No arguments with any of these.

I was in the middle of explaining my team when I realised I didn't like it and had to go back and fix it :pac: Anyway here is the current draft, however long this one lasts. Mainly playing with goalkeepers and defenders and my 8.0 mid:

    301n6kx.jpg

GK: De Gea and Hamer. It'll be Hamertime if I'm relying on my backup.

Def: I'm still not convinced about my defenders at all. I think I'll stay away from Chelsea until a clearer pattern emerges. I fancy QPR to be tight enough at the back and Caulker gets goals. Clyne may be a bit of a splurge but I fancy them to do well from week 2 on. Bardlsey for Stoke's fixtures and the Tyne-Wear pair for security of starts and decent rotation.

Mid: Ramsey, Mata and Fabregas are what they are and I'm very content right now. Coutinho could be any other 8.0 mid namely Eriksen or Lamela or I rip it up and put in Arnie and Siggy. Marney 5th mid to grab me 2 points and no temptation.

For: Rooney and Costa explain themselves. I've backed away from Studge for now. Listening to my initial reaction of Austin being my 3rd forward. He's been in good form in pre-season and leading QPR's line with decent fixtures.

I have the spine of my team so there's no panic but of those I haven't decided on I really haven't decided on. As I type the Arnie/Siggy combo makes more sense over the 8.0 mid.

Apart from the lack of a Chelsea defender, I think this is one of the best teams posted so far.

If your unsure about a simple swap, you could wait until GW2 or 3 and look at highlights of how Eriksen played, etc. before putting him in.

@Jesper - literally none of the 4mill CB's are certs. Upgrade a couple to 4.5 if you can.

@last poster - Why Ireland? Not assured to start. You could downgrade to a 4.5 or around the ball park of 5.5 with him.

Has Ireland not started the last few pre season games?

Is there many going to young? Looks like a potential bandwagon in the making over the next few weeks.

Barring last minute panic this is what I'm leading with. GK and Defence could be better but happy with forwards and mids.

    Main Decisions
    Swapped Bojan for Austin.
No Man U cover in defence but don't see them being tight at the back with current players.
No City coverage. Hoping they have a slow start.
0.5 in the bank to ship out Chambers.

Who do QPR rotate well with?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

    Done at last.
    Krul(elliot)
Chambers Wisdom Van aanholt (taylor Hutton)
    Siggy mata ramsey Fab (marney)
    Rooney Sturridge Costa

34.5 on my back 7 and cheap mid. 65.5 on my all out attack front 7.

Southampton. Beautifully. Looking at maybe shelling out for Clyne and Caulker.

Southampton accordingly to FPL wizard. 77% good rotation.

Want to get in Lamela but I don't want to get rid of Hazard and then have 2million to make more changes! Bed time I'd say!

Have it down to 2 teams which one do ye think is best.

Not sure about Ireland but Im told he is starting behind the striker is this true?

    Team 1

    Defence
    Bruce Wilson Azpilicueta Chambers Collins

    Mids
    Fábregas Sigurdsson Mata Ireland Ramsey

    Forwards
    Rooney Dzeko Diego Costa

    Team 2

    GK
    Mannone Krul

    DF
    Bruce Wilson Azpilicueta Chambers Caulker

chelsea are their home away for 38 weeks. If you rotate them with stoke or burnley for first 8 gws you get good fixtures but not all at home.

The only glaring weaknesses I can see are Ferdinand and your 3 subs imo.Decent enough apart from that tho. Ferdinand may start well enough but I can't see him sustaining any sort of passable form at his age. Hutton & Nugent will probably be second choice and Barry won't offer enough for his price. Steven/Neil Taylor, Delph, Bent, Ings, Diouf all better options.

    Going from this:

    De Gea/Gilks
Terry Bardsley Coloccini Van Aaholt Moore
    Fabregas Mata Ramsey Siggy Isgrove
    Rooney Sturridge Fletcher

    To this

    Begovic/Gilks
Terry Caulker Coloccini van Aaholt Moore
    Fabregas Mata Ramsey Siggy Isgrove
    Rooney Costa Fletcher

    De Gea to Begovic
    Bardsley to Caulker
    Sturridge to Costa

Leaves 1.5 million in the bank. I was thinking about bringing in Mutch but then I might have a dilemma over whether to play him or Siggy some weeks. Opinions?

Isgrove to Young too much United? It's nice to have 0.5 in the bank for GW2.

I think Mata and Rooney is enough United cover for now. They look fairly injury hit.

I'll have 1.5 with that squad so could afford moves like Ramsey to Sanchez or Fab to Hazard.

I'm just unsure about the defenders. In GW2 I will have to play Caulker away to Spurs.

Your first team is actually better IMO as the defense is a lot more solid with United/Chelsea/Stoke and a home option every week from the SUN/NEW rotation. Costa and Sturridge is just personal preference for yourself but if you were to go Costa with the first team the extra money might come in handy? With that in mind you could upgrade Moore to Taylor at Swansea to have United goalkeeper/Chelsea/Home/Home defenders the vast majority of gameweeks.

Chopping and changing between Sigurdsson and Mutch some weeks will drive you crazy as the inevitable Mutch blank at home to Sunderland while Sigurdsson scores a free kick at Arsenal (as an example) would be enough to send you over the edge. I also can't see QPR scoring all that many goals in addition to not being keen on £5m for one of their defenders though I could be massively off on that.

I swapped Haz for fabregas, he's been creating a lot preseason as well as scoring. gives you back 1 mill

Sigurdsson over Mutch all day. Better player, set pieces, better fixtures I think. I've got Sigurdsson and would happily play him every week unless he gets injured or forgets how to play the game like a certain chelsea player . Bear in mind I haven't been paying full attention for the past while if it all goes tits up tho :pac:

    De Gea/Hamer
    Terry Pieters Debuchy
    Hazard Ramsey Mata Siggy
    Rooney Costa Bojan
    (van Aanholt, Hutton, Isgrove)

Bit wary of De Gea with United's shaky backline but I still think he's the best option for the first 6 or 7 weeks and I don't want to have to worry about my keeper. Pieters isn't 100% but I still think he's odds on to start. Midfield and attack I'm happy with, and have been for a while. I could downgrade Hazard to Fab or have Fletcher for Bojan but f**k it, even if he plays in MF I want to see what he has to offer... also I named my team after him and don't want to change it! I've stuck with this team throughout a number of friendlies which has been frustrating to an extent as I would have gotten some decent scores! Can't bring myself to change the team now. Lets do this.

That's exactly the same team as me mate except I have Bardsley to your Pieters, Fletcher to your Bojan and a couple of different subs.

Few transfers made and have this team. I do however have £1m to spare and I wonder should I invest that in upgrading Eriksen to Fabregas or Fletcher to Austin maybe. Any thoughts??
