Fourth behind Independents, FG and FF. Hardly call it a victory in the current climate. That's as good as their support will ever get. Everyone else knows what they are and will never vote for them, enjoy your 'victory' while it lasts.

Ah, I liked Little, was a great drummer.

Anyway, always a fan, so good luck to what I suppose will now be known as Stiff Fingers.

DeValera was first elected on the SF ticket.

I love random comments that bear no relevance to anything , on the day of my wedding I won two Euros on a scratch card.

So Adams is about to join Fianna Fail is what you're saying?

She looked very happy in the posters.

I googled her. She's not a happy person.

I disagree. People under 25 have grown up with little to no experience of the troubles. People under 18 have grown with no experience of the troubles whatsoever. Most young people now have no hang ups about Sinn Fein as they will have only ever known them as another political party. Sinn Feins support will only grow over the next ten years imo, particularly in the under 25 age group.

I reckon she's a wee bit happier than that plastic faced Brian Hayes is this afternoon if it's any consolation to you.

Congratulations to lynn boylan alright. She never would've seen past costello however if she wasnt aligned with labour.

they're only a shower of murderers, terrorists, beards and shinnerbots.

before long they'll be in a position of real responsibility and will probably sh!t themselves at the thought of having to make tough and real decisions. not as easy as being in opposition when the country is broke and they can just criticise and object every government policy.

Indeed , her posters all appear to be highest up on the light poles around the city too.

I think you're underestimating the intelligence of young people in this country.

I'm looking forward to see SF get into power sometime over the next few years.

I'm looking forward to seeing them realise (after a few months in office) that they can't really do anything terribly different from how it's currently being done.

And then I'm looking forward to seeing their droves of newly acquired supporters abandoning them and reverting to whichever other party plays the populist trump at that time.

coz that's the way it works...

Jesus, does anyone else get sick of reading these sinn Fein threads everyday?

    Zzzzz....

They're having a good day, it seems.

Not sure why we need an AH thread congratulating them for it though?

Can we have a "Way to go Fine Gael etc" thread too? :pac:

Most of us will wait and see what they do. Unfortunately you seem to have made your mind up already.
