So today I got my results back from my repeats, I passed one and failed another :(

However they went on to say the subject I failed has been dropped and all I've to do is an assignment to pass it, looks like I'm in second year :D

That's good news about the subject you failed. But I don't want to be a downer but having to repeat exams in first year and then even failing a repeat is not good. First year is usually the easiest year they get harder as they go on.

Speaking of sligo I should have been there today. Instead I left home at one today and drove the 350 or so miles to cork and back, to register for college. Got home about half seven to an e-mail sent fifteen minutes after I left saying there was no need to go at all, that you could pop in whenever this week or the next and do it. This was supposed to be the last registration day :(.

Hope I don't get a speeding ticket on top of it. I Seen two guards in the hard shoulder and presumed they had just pulled someone over. With all the bug juice on my windscreen I didn't see the tripod until it was fairly late. Was doing just under 130 coming down the steep hill after the tollbridge towards the tunnel. Fingers crossed...

Ok. I also re-read what I posted and maybe it came off as a bit rude. Didn't mean it that way.

I'm fairly sure it's 100 kmh speed limit. Well it certainly is a few kilometres after the toll bridge and when your going downhill. Hopefully you didn't get caught though I've never seen them in that spot before.

Trying to figure out exactly where it was now. I was a motorway zombie at that stage. It was on the M8. When I see blue signage I just presume it's 120 :o.

No unfortunately it does drop back to 100 kmh a few km after the toll bridge but still several km before the dunkettle interchange even though it's still motorway. Hopefully the gaurds were in the 120 kmh zone.

Saw this and thought it looked very good for those of us that dont like working under car with just jacks, Hydraulic heavy duty ramps. I used regular ramps back when I had my civic and they were very safe but these ones have an additional hydraulic Jack to get your car higher than the standard ones.

If that's the level of scientific equations we can expect I think we'd be better off with 20 mins of YouTube videos

Anyone else find their car covered in fine black dust last week or over the weekend?

From the volcanoes in Iceland or something I'm guessing. It's now combined with the juice of a million bugs. Not going to be fun to wash.

My decoy pigeon car is covered in a very fine film of dust, it gets dirty overnight. Same with the merc. At least when I drive the merc most blows off

I remember when those sahara dust clouds covered my 520. Blue and beige car

At least when I drove my carina daily, it would cause the black smoke and dust. :D

Once the smoke from the 406 made the entire back black, number plate included
