@ Stormin Norman - if it's not an M-Sport in good nick walk away. I don't know how many times you have to be told this. You would rather climate control than a proper M-Sport? You've driven both - you should know better.

I really don't care if the car is M or not, I like both, however this has just popped up:

    Well cheap if genuine.

Get it checked out and jump on it if it's straight.

That would be the plan! No idea where to get a car checked out in Limerick though!

Sure you can just do what most people do buy an se stick a few m sport badges all over the car and that automatically makes the car whatever's on the badge :D :pac:

I may have got this idea from an octavia mk2 that passed me which had a gt tdi badge on the back what the hell that means on an octavia I don't even know :pac:

Hold tough for the new model at least anyway if you're going for the same again.

    SE's it is!

    You're operating under the MO that a 5er is a 5er.

SE's ain't worth much more than scrap.

A good M-Sport looks infinitely better and drives infinitely better and holds its value infinitely better than an SE.

You'll pay more for one but you'll love it and when you go to sell it you'll lose sfa.

They may as well be different cars they're so far apart.

Look man you say it to him again and again. He has heard your opinion yet he is still thinks he will be happy with an SE. Just let it be. You're like a broken record.

If someone was to buy an E46 Coupe tomorrow, I'd strongly recommend going M-Sport.
I drove an SE 330ci and it felt mellow compared to my puny 320ci!

Don't know if I will or not, I'm liking a few different cars but I could change my mind again and keep it

I personally don't agree they are worlds apart but I do know they look better and have a better suspension setup, how that translates real world I haven't noticed yet with my test drives really.

Thoughts please. Would I be mad to look at a focus st doing around 20k kilometers a year??

    I don't think so!

I've owned both. SE was a fine car but I wouldn't go back to it. Totally different driving experience and looks / sits so much better.

It's taken me a long time to warm to the E60 but my next bus will be an E60 Sport with Spiders.

My parents will have their octavia 3 years on 1st December. That's the longest they've had a car in over 20 years which is shocking enough  88k km on it now probably the highest mileage they have had ever had on any of my mother car anyway. First nct too next year my mother doesn't know what that will be like as she's never got one of them either. They were looking at changing it recently and getting seriously high trade in values for it compared to what they paid for it new but you still have to put a lot of money with it to get a new car even a spec'd up golf is big money there a lovely car inside though.
