Got out of the car to take the picture and a guy drives past in his lime green Murcialago closely followed by someone else in the new Corvette. Just when i finally thought I was driving something in some way unique!

That's the US for ya! Still fun though.

I sure there are a few elvis impersonators roaming county tipp in passats alright. It is the official county vehicle of tipp.

Id take the dodge challenger or a charger over any ford personally!

Probably the last photo I'll take of the 'Gulf GTI' before returning it back to its normal state.
Unfortunately its too difficult to keep the colours sharp and clean with the dirt and rain constantly getting sprayed on it from the roads:(

    IMG_0081_zpsf35297b8.jpg
It was alot of work and some people didn't 'get it' or thought it was stupid but the reaction it got in France amongst Ferraris, Aston Martins and the rest made it sooo worth it, a laugh to hoon around in:)

So this is my replacement winter hack.

    It's French and girly.

    Urgh.

But it runs on air and is nothing to tax so I guess we could be happy together

Picked this up on Saturday - it's an A6 1.8T. Not exactly a rocket, but very comfortable and a nice enough motorway cruiser. Good bit of space too.

Very nice looking A6. I'd do something about that brown wood-ish trim though. :P

I might have a look on fleabay/breakers yards and see what's available, but first up is to see can I get new buttons for the centre console. Every single one I looked at had worn buttons - not great quality plastics by the looks of things.

    What year is the A6?

And what mpg can be got from these?

It's a 2002 car. I don't know (and will do my best to ignore) the MPG. I'd say just over 30 though.
