Well I lied it had a big boot and the seats were comfortable as it was a highline but hated the gearbox, the ride the engine and the stupid electronic handbrake it wasn't a nice car to drive.

Any of ye know Stheno on here. Well she had a GTV Alfa this timing belt let her down. Sold to QV on here for parts who then sold it to me for parts. Car ended up being too good to break so it got a new lease of life (courtesy of my old engine). I think it's gone to a good home (not mine for once!!)

Yes I know the engine bay needs a good cleaning but I'm doing a service so cleaning will come later. The reason I posted the picture is I'm confused should I service it or just make love to it!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, everything is covered in plastic.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,480 ✭✭✭YbFocus

I wouldn't think thats anything to look at??

I'd actually rip away some of that plastic and try see is there a decent looking engine buried in there!

Well if he can afford it and justify it well fair play to him. He had an X5 as his daily drive then an e34 535i and now a 330i e90 not a bad collection at all to look at each morning.

Was there a 335i available in a four door or was it only a coupé? Great looking 330i.

It was available in a four door but very rare over here a bit more common in the UK. I've only seen one that wasn't a coupe for sale in Ireland and that was an estate shortly after I bought my own 330i.

Would much rather see an engine bay like that when buying a car rather than a one that's been shined up. Looks nice and original.

every man and his dog has a tdi passat, a 530d is like a Rolls Royce compared to one.

    its not too shabby.

before and after a K&N Typhoon, needed that as it was too quiet without it.

going a bit off topic here. :p

I thought foxy had a petrol.

A diesel 5 series was heading into an estate last sunday here, the owner floored it (as they do) and it let off this glorious plume of smoke that probably contributed to a good few % of greenhouse gases, he/she was in a fierce rush for a cup of tea id say. Why would they do that I was thinking to myself, its not like (s)/he was on a open road or anything. It was a pretty recent car too, 5 years old or less I would gather.
