dropped mine into the sea a few months ago and, minor miracle only, the speaker is a bit off since.

Got the Marshmallow OTA update last week. However since the update I can't connect to my (eir) home wifi at all. I can connect to all other wifi connections as normal including including free public ones (Dublin bus).

However there's nothing wrong with my home wifi. My tablet, sonos, server, laptop, chromecast plus other mobiles in the house all connect to the WiFi no issue. Tried resetting router and and phone but no sign of a fix. Don't want to factory reset.

Any ideas what could be going on and how to fix? Very annoying

What channel is the home wifi using? (hope it's not channel 11, 12, 13.)
Log onto the router, change the channel to something like 6.
Also when, you're logged into the router, try and add the Mac address of your phone to the list of DHCP clients.

Cap, no idea, never had a netopia router. I've only ever done it using UPC's routers.

Has phone settled down for you since?

How are people finding battery life after marshmallow update in general?

No it hasn't. It's absolutely shocking.

It was fully charged at 2am last night so I plugged it out. I went back to sleep and work at 7.30 and you can see just how much battery was used.

I don't know how to go about fixing this. I have uninstalled all updates from the Facebook app and disabled it so it's not that as you can see.

I can't tell if you're serious - the answer is right there in front of you - look at the line under "Awake".

This has nothing to do with HTC or Android.
You have a dodgy app - FORCING your phone to stay awake - it's actually amazing the battery did last that long.

Either disable all your apps, and test each of them over time or do a factory reset.

Battery optimisation was off so I'm gonna try that on all apps.

Android OS is down as always on and so is fitbit despite all day sync being off. I had no problems with fitbit and battery before the update.

I should also mention that boomsound seems to always be on and it won't turn off because it's in use.

Bit of an odd one here, I have an M8 with a 64GB card, my wife has an M8s with the same brand 64gb memory card.

We both have the exact same taste in music so both cards hold around 50gb in music, now here's where it gets odd.

Some days i'll just listen to some music through my bluetooth speaker, will play all, shuffle on so could go anywhere, my phone though, when on full shuffle, will only play artists beginning with A, B or C. The wife's phone is fine, will play anything.

I put her card into my phone and same again, will only play bands beginning with A,B or C yet my card in her plays everything????

T-Mobile US are supposedly pushing android N to the M8, and other variants will receive afterwards. Crazy if true, with the M8 being 3 years old now.
