Cheers Zell12, handy. That Rockshore is good stuff too

Rockshore is just horrible watery beer with a nasty taste - yuck.

They did ok with Hop House 13 but Rockshore is a major fail imo for Diageo

Curiously enough after 50+ years drinking beer, I know what I like and I also know that others might have differing opinions.

    :confused::eek::cool::mad::):p:rolleyes::P:D:pac:

And I can do smilies/ grumpies or anything else superficial !

And I dont like Hophouse 13....

Considering its one of the best selling beers in the world are you really that shocked? Or is it the beer snobbery at play again?

(full disclosure I dont like bud but nothing annoys me more than people criticising other people taste buds, its immature)

Hop house 13 is a very nice larger, probably the nicest larger out there.

I agree with you on HH but I also agree with the previous lad on Rockshore-it's rancid p*ss.

It might be one of the best selling beers in the world but it's not a nice beer. That's not snobbery to be honest...Just personal taste.
It's like Ed Sheeran... Phenomenal music sales but you won't get blander middle of the road stuff than his.

I drink ale so find most larger now rotten but hop house 13 is the exception. Would have no prob drinking a few of them.

In fairness, this is the booze deals thread not the good drink bargain alerts thread so as far as I'm concerned if its a good offer on dutch gold then have at it. Not going to judge anyones tastes here. Not mad on rock shore or hop house but they seem like decent offers and if people drink them then don't see the point in any of us commenting on the quality of the beer itself.

One thing that should be banned immediately however is using larger. Its lager!!! Larger is a word to describe something being big in size! :D:D

Yet another fantastic Tesco clearence deal.

Picked up a few bottles a few weeks ago when another poster here posted that it had been reduced to this price in Tesco Cabra. Was still the normal price in my local Tesco at that stage but checked again this evening after your tip off and Indeed it's been reduced there now too. Only one bottle left though which I duly relieved the store of.

The moral of the story with Tesco is that these deals don't necessarily happen in every store at the same time so if something's not reduced in your store, keep checking for some weeks to come and it might eventually be reduced in your store too.

Tesco Finest sloe gin now on clearance at €13.20 in the (smaller) two Kerry stores that still stocked it. All gone in Tralee (Square) but a few bottles left in Killarney (New St) as of earlier today.

After I'd helped myself of course! :D
