The lemon flavoured vodka in Lidl is very nice. It's 5 times distilled, 40% and only 18 euro for a 70 cl bottle.

From memory the difference is small enough I think it’s
    28 calories per 100ml
    47 calories per 100ml

Best to take a few months off totallyif you’re serious about it

2 slabs and you get a shop and save voucher valid from the next day too
Or if you have a voucher then it’s only €40 for the 2 slabs

The Guinness slabs are just left over Christmas stock. Not all stores will have them in stock. They can't order them in either as they are allocated out by head office.

    Lidl

Argus Gold unpasteurised lager 6% 500 ml €1.49. (in stock now)

Matinelle Chardonnay d'Italia 750 ml €4.11 (next Saturday and Sunday only).

The beer is seriously good stuff. I don't know much about white wine but that price is very low.

That's the one in the bottle - nice crisp taste.

Loads left in Lild - I think dry January is having an affect.

I even saw some of the 24 cans of Guinness slabs @ €24 in Aldi last week - obliviously left over from Christmas - I think people need a break from all the cheap booze.

Plenty of the other Argus bees left as well.
Argus premium is now in a red can.

    Molloys
Guinness - 8x500ml / €10 - Only valid on Ireland Six Nations days.
Those dates are Feb 2nd, 9th and 24th, and March 10th and 16th.

Very unusual to see Molloys doing this type of deal in my experience, just saw it on Facebook.

The 25% back offer on all Prosecco, Wine and Champagne is back on in Dunnes Stores. Its 25% back in clubcard points- so you'll get them as part of your Easter Mailing. You unlock the offer with 6 bottles- however, its for 6 or more bottles- it doesn't have to be in multiples of 6. They have a few nice own brand sparkling wines- including a very very nice Spanish Cava- it has to be the driest I've tasted in a while, its delicious! Not cheap- but very very nice.

Was in Lidl, Cranmore, Sligo yesterday.

Still some 8 bottle boxes of Perlenbaceher.

    Also Canadian 20 x 330cl at €14.99 and Miller 20 x 330cl at €17.99

Jaysus, if both Perlenbacher XXL and Argus are surviving for several weeks in Lidl, this must be the driest January ever :D

Personally I advocate stocking up on items like this in case the minimum pricing act comes in with little or no warning before the next XXL/Polish cycle - Argus Strong cans are incredibly durable, I've previously bought several slabs at once and not finished them for upwards of a year, and there's no noticeable difference in the taste. I guess beers with higher ABVs take a lot longer to go off. Perlenbacher on the other hand can go a bit hazy if stored for too long - it doesn't affect the taste in my experience but I have wondered if it affects whether or not drinking it will mess up one's stomach :D

That Argus Strong is a nice enough drink but man oh man the hangover is brutal. Even if I had only two slow cans of it I'd feel it the following morning.

Of course it's different horses for different courses but I'd never buy it again, it just doesn't suit me.
