    ah no!
He wouldn't let me near it if he thought i was doing that.
I'll be updating the electronics though, that would be the most drastic change.
No cutting the frame or any of that.
If the engine can be turned manually then I'll be pulling it out to clean and service.

I plan to upgrade the suspension and seat (same style, just more a more comfortable one).
Then swap all the lights and indicators to LED.
depending on the controls, might swap them to Momentary switches like I did on the DR.

I will install an M-unit blue into the bike as well and might swap the instrument cluster over to a digital set up as well.
But I plan to keep it look as original as possible as it was a bike I grew up with Dad always having

Shudder! At at least it won't be visible from a distance I suppose.

Failure of the the odometer or speedo is common. Spares and repair are available though. Or even an unobtrusive bicycle speedo?
(Had to web search the M-unit)

Got these for an absolute song. Couldn’t resist. They came with the racks and everything, I just need to bolt them on

They’ll be painted before going on the bike

Updating the electrics to an M unit doesn't really **** about with the bike too much.
It gives the electrics and overhaul and that's really it.
I've a mate who's done the same to his R45 and you wouldn't even know its not all original from looking at it.

The DR650se has one in it too.

The Odometers worked last time it ran, so will see how they are when cleaned up.
End of the day it comes down to the state of the engine and if it turns.
It has the nikasil coated barrels, so I don't know if that will help much.

Just received my insurance renewal quote.
Up a tenner from last year to €384 for 5 bikes.

    Here's a strange one though.
    3rd party fire& theft €275
    3rd party €294.

I remember last year they offered 3rd party for €180ish.

Yeah that's what I'm doing regards payment.
    I wasn't being a dick.
My head was hopping at that stage and couldn't take anymore.

Had to go home take some pain killers and throw myself on the couch.
They rang me back an hour later so that's how long more I would have been.
    Rescheduled for tomorrow evening.

    Are you have stitches removed?

I had 6 in the back of my head years ago, missed the appointment to have them removed so got two needlework pliers and went to work on them :pac:

Around 2 hrs time and they are staples.
Doctor must give me a cert for work as well.
I suppose he'll give his opinion when I can go back.
But whatever he says I must then also get clearance from work to go back.

Ah shur, I'm just a number.
I suppose I'll be out a few weeks anyway.
I was on holidays ( finally getting to take the last of 2019 holiday) and I was onlyout two days when they rang to see if I could cover someone that went out sick.
I didn't really mind as I like my job.
Not in the mood at the moment though.

Hard to get a good night's sleep.
Headache every morning when I wake.
I'm getting tired easily and my head starts hurting if I don't take it easy.

I’m getting quoted €403 FC by Carole Nash for my 4. I’m with AXA currently and for my car as well, the Mrs is also with AXA for her car.

I’ve only 3 years NCB this year, you’ve been on bikes since I was barely toilet trained :D :pac:

I gave up on trying to sort the electrical issue on the CBR. Rang Swanton, he doesn’t have any interest in bikes of that age. Go to Noel Quinn I was told

    Probably before that even

Considering my rap sheet I'm not doing too bad :pac:

I suppose I could ring them and ask for a discount which I'm fairly certain they'd give but I'm.not too pushed.

Anyone use Bluetooth headset / intercoms for listening to music / sat nav directions
Can you hear clearly with earplugs in ?
is it a distraction listening to music / radio do you guys find

I am thinking of getting the kit for the helmet Smart HJC 10B
    https://www.motocard.com/en/electronic-gear/hjc-smart_hjc_10b_black.aspx?country=IE&currency=EUR&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIj_ng7dr17wIVju3tCh0OPAdlEAQYAiABEgInrvD_BwE

Only reason I was thinking of this kit is that it is made for my I90 Helmet
There is a battery recess built in to the helmet and the speakers will just snap in without any cutting or sticky tape / velcro

The sun visor slider is on the lower left and might be an issue for say the Sena 20 S which undoutably has more features
Got the HJC 10 B in the end just for ease of fitting going to be mainly used just for sounds / Radio / google maps directions
    Fitted yesterday straight forward enough
Looked like a wally sitting in the living room with helmet on trying it out :-)

Will try it out on the road today and see how it sounds with the earplugs in

I'm probably their best customer ever. :pac:

Well gave the new blue tooth kit a good spin down to Avoca and Roundwood today
Sound quality is actually quite good even with the earplugs in
Could hear it clearly up to about 100KPH
after that I would say you would have to turn up the volume
Still getting used to where the buttons are but they were easy enough to use in the summer gloves :-)

Only negative I can find really is that there is no app for changing the settings
It is done through the menu the hjc app only works on the more expensive 20B set

I’ll probably go on an evening run at some stage alright. Last one I was at with them was out in Blarney last summer.

Lads, I'm just posting this up as a warning. If you're interested in buying a Fazer for sale in Clare, drop me a PM. Have some very relevant info.

EDIT: Just check the For Sale / Donedeal thread.

Truly a fantastic day for the parish. Man has arrived on to start building the new shed tomorrow. Dying to get the bike in out of the elements.

Sure an investment like that, you'd make 3 to 4 times back what you paid for it!

That's the one I put up the other day for 1700 I think.
Only now for an extra 1300 you get the luxury of clearing the rubbish out of his yard.
