Not great. But at least our friends from Omni etc have returned since runway restrictions ended. And freight seems good, helps pay the bills.
Seems every time you open a local paper there's another coach firm offering direct service to Dublin Airport. A lot of business there to be won back if the routes available

What coach first has started recently? Wasn't personally aware of any.

Also, the idea of winning routes back is funny when they're being growth has stopped!

I'd say it'll just be downright cancellations, as opposed to diversions.

However, we should wait until the Terminal Area Forecast (TAF) is issued on Sunday evening at 6pm to get a better picture of what to expect on Monday.

Are they arrivals or departures? It's not clear which they are.

    They're both.

DL406 inbound from JFK has diverted straight to Dublin.

UA24 from Newark cancelled due to an unrelated issue.

Remaining aircraft from the US (EI110 from JFK, EI134 from BOS and D81824 from Providence) have landed without issue this morning, however both Aer Lingus flights are delayed until after 3pm.

DL406 diverted to DUB as I said earlier, aircraft has remained there. Last delta flight of the season and last flight on that type of aircraft.

Wind has since calmed significantly, and Shannon has accepted 6 diversions from Dublin.

Flew to Birmingham yesterday. The flight was delayed, apparently because the plane was coming from Edinburgh and they were delayed.

Does anyone know is this a regular occurrence?

The delay wasn't that significant, around (46mins minus taxi time). Those sort of delays wouldnt be that common, it's not a daily occurrence. Delays in excess of an hour would be unusual though.

All Shannon flights are on Cork based aircraft, so the aircraft actually came from Birmingham and went back out to Birmingham, however the delays were slowly accumulated all day, possibly due to semi-strong winds and occasional low vis at Cork and Shannon.

Thanks for the reply. That delay affects catching the right train after arrival. Its small, but painful.

Three Omni aircraft parked at the terminal yesterday, interesting to see that two of them had their baggage / cargo holds opened.

The 777s are to become a regular as Omni left Frankfurt HHN. Miami and Sun Country have also returned

Why is that interesting? It happens with 99% of the Omni flights that transit through.

Didn’t know that, thought the baggage / cargo hold was a very sensitive part of their aircraft to have open.

Probably just loading duty free rations for their trip to Kuwait. ;)
