    ye try and buy the angus calves from cows if ya can.

    140 aa heifers 2 weeks old
    havent sold any fr bulls yet , but 60 euro for goodish ones down to 40 euro for white shi&e

    Many won't be worth it either... Think of all those heifers calving down to easy calving AA straws... feckin calves will never grow into anything commercial.

    to be honest the AAX are in truth about what they are worth

    Talking to client other day and he bought Hereford bulls and heifers this spring at 200 a head.

    he had sold the pedigree bulls to the farmers and said they were smashing calves

    with a client and he has bulled most of his cows to a PB red limousine and is expecting 200 a head at 2 weeks old

    60 euro out of yard for 2 fr bull calf 8-10 days old. in local sale on tuesday there where 6 calves, 2 fr bulls made 30 euro dont know what else was in it.

    we breed angus bulls.... i am on my own most of the time and i am not set up for running the heifer up to crush on my own for ai.... that said i am thinking of buying a fr bull to put with them. most of them are br/fr

    swap a 300 ebi 9 month old for similar aged aa???

    Nothing wrong with the system if it works for ye.
    If ye have enough replacements then ye have no need really. We've never used beef on heifers hete

    have a serious amount of replacements from last year- had br fr bull with heifers- going to keep some of the aax cross calves in the spring as my rainy day money fund:)

    have grass here this year like never before- i know all that can change- but even with extra replacements we are understocked

    what did it cost you to buy them- i am being nosey:cool:- calf man said 20 calves in local mart yesterday, tops was a lim heifer for 265. mainly fr and aa calves there

    308 each it worked out at private sale ive to pich up mile away
