Possibly change it to fortnightly? Or the SNME ones are an hour long, much easier watch

We did change it to every 2 weeks if I remember right but that nearly made the interest worse;by the end, I think there was only 2 or 3 people posting :(

Has anyone tested how many IPs the Network will run on? I know outside USA it would require multiple VPN subs if not using a plugin but I heard someone on a phone-in show claim he shares his password with ten different people. Sounds like BS but

I heard some caller on Wrestling Observer Radio admit to sharing his account with several people.

Aye, that is what I was referencing. One person claimed five IPs and another said ten.

"WWE Network reached 700,000 subscribers at quarter end."

    They're adding a $20 a month option without the 6 month commitment.
Launching it in 170 additional countries on August 12th, but not in UK (And presumably Ireland) until October.

Just an extra 40k subs from the first quarter WOW that is not good at all.

With the first round of subs expiring next month there will be a lot of nail biting in the WWE.

How many devices can be used per subscriber?

It’s so surprising they don’t have Cole shrilling the Network at every given chance when you think of how they went to town pushing the app and tout.

And I gather from skimming through WWE's quarterly statement that the $60 for six months is up front rather than pay monthly which can easily be abused. So they've cottoned on to that one. The statement alludes to having lost subscribers during the quarter unless they count free weekers in the 161k new subs (which I suppose they do).

Also, the Network in Canada will be a a TV channel not 'over-the-top'.

Im surprised too. They have pushed the arse out of other awful ideas (mentioned above). Im glad though as I dont want to see more demonstrations from JBL and Lawler. Painful shilling

I had predicted 700kl on Twitter last night. Bryan Alvarez this morning was told 690k.

    Still a shocker though.

    I wasn't expecting anymore then 700k

    Pretty brutal.

I think Steiner's point is a great one though.

Surely a price increase is inevitable.

I wont be paying be getting the network again, my card was cancelled last week so they could take a payment, but i would much prefer the monthly option of 9.99 per month then spending 60 in one go.....the increase to 19.99 will not entice new customers, the likes of Netflix which they at times compared themselves to remains low and has some good quality programes, although wrestling is a niche market, it is not worth 19.99 a month.

Wow fecking hell thats low. Not surprised honestly but thought they might have scraped up to 800k.

Typical us Irish and Brits left last for anything  (with regard the network)

Ireland being Ireland it will about €5 or more expensive than it is in the UK and the US probably too.

Ive watched all Live PPVs on the Network bar Wrestlemania and I thought it was good value for a clear stream. But Ive rarely watched the Networks library that much.

Might be a stupid question but the figure doing the rounds of 1.2 million subs needed to breakeven? Is that just at the moment (with the present US market) or is that period.

Cause I think they could p*ss 1.2 million subs if that figure relates to worldwide.

Id say most fans have already got it worldwide TBH, just like most Irish fans do.

It is if you want to cherrypick PPVs whilst not wanting to commit. There'd also be vague hopes that such subscriptions may be enticed to switch to
    the half-year commitment.

My laptop is dogged and farted out halfway through the free-trial, so I couldn't justify the network without a viable streaming option, but for the
few days I had it running I found the library to be an absolute dream. Just wish they'd not spoil matches in the stream bookmarks, too easy to accidentally skim over and have a hidden gem ruined. Soon as I get a decent lappy I'm back in.

I don't get it. WWE said there were "77 million homes with an affinity for WWE content":o

That's up there with the 'half-a-billion people' from the old WWF signature intro. Right beside that one time Linda McMahon tried to spin RAW and Smackdown!'s figures as evidence that they have two distinct and expansive audiences.

What are the WWE's major costs here? I mean Netflix have massive rights costs and much bigger server costs yet charge less and are fine. How can WWE get $60million a month for content they already own and not be able to make a profit?
