Bummer, though the full episode was added to the In-Ring section as soon as the stream aired so some people saw it before it "aired live" :p

(glad it's working now for you)

Anyone think WWE Network will eventually stream in 1080p?

I would like to see it as an option.

Would love to see it in 1080. Their blu-rays are 1080 though WWE have never been known for great picture quality - check the reviews on blu-ray.com and similar sites.

I highly doubt that it is a pressing issue right now considering their subscriber numbers - potentially 30% of the subs are non-USA.

I thought it was a con them claiming it was HD when it is only 720. Netflix does something called 'super-HD' which is 1080. (no idea what the super refers too mind)

Actually on PQ on the Network, some of the PPVs basically just look like rips of DVDs. Black levels on some of them are awful, Unforgiven 2007 comes to mind. Even an SD capture should render better than it does on the Network.

"Excuse Me! - A Cougar Countdown" is on this Thursday. It's a countdown of Vicki Guerrero's top ten memorable moments.

Quick question. When does the on demand PPV option become available on the network? I might miss the start of e PPV by a half hour so can I start from the beginning then? Or would it pick up live at that stage and I have to wait till it's over to start from the beginning?

I'm sure they will down the line. It'd be a bigger selling point than just increasing the bitrate of the stream (which I'm sure they'll also do). Or maybe they'll get c***y and put it behind a slightly higher paywall

When you click the play button, you'll be given the choice "from beginning" or "now", the latter being the live stream

    Top bar:

In Ring -> Raw -> then choose by year from the option button that says Year or whatever.

There were reports of the Network stream failing for some people. Mine resumed eventually but it was the worst showing since NXT Arrival.

I didn't have any issues after the first hour of the PPV.

Safe to say I won't be watching a WWE PPV live on WWE Network again unless the PPV card looks good on paper.

    Using the Cast tab feature?

    Using the Cast tab feature?

    Yep.

Usually WWE Network is temperamental through it at the best of times.

Used the cast tab feature but bit of a pain, would love to have proper Chromecast integration, browse network on phone, tap on "cast" and away you go. I believe this works on Apple TV if you have an iPhone or iPad

Perfect for me on Apple TV

I watched it on my laptop, was the first PPV I have watched live using the Network and I have to say we were very impressed. Great quality, only stalled once or twice and both times it was on;y for a few seconds.

They should bring back The Legends of Wrestling show.

Ive been watching the network for live shows since ER and its been perfect every time. Well worth the 9.99 a month. Very happy with everything so far PPV wise and the back cat is just a bonus.

Must say its handy watching the PPV's on delay the next morning. Usually just throw it on the phone in work and have the headphones in. Haven't the appetite to stay up late unless its Mania or the Rumble!

Could have done with that during the Attitude Era instead of going into school jaded on a Monday morning.

I would never stay up late to watch the WWE of today.

Has anyone seen this yet: http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/wiki/wwe_network_shows_chron

What are the ECW Hardcore TVs like? One would imagine they're censored to bits.

Nah they ECWs are barely censored. Pretty much just entrance music changed. Sandman etc.

Watching the first royal rumble ppv ATM.

First match between rick rude and Ricky steamboat was good enough if sloppy in places as steamboat seemed to be going at a 100mph which meant bits looked sloopy IMO. The ending of to ref bump and steamboat getting a DQ win was okay.

Next was dino bravo bench pressing 715lbs apparently.

Then there was a ladies tag team title match between the jumping bomb angels and the glamour girls(judy Martin and leilani kai) in a two out of three falls. I thought it was a great match with the jumping bomb angels picking up the win that went three falls. It was great to see four women who could go and make it look really good.

    More to follow.

According to the Wrestling Observer, filming on Tough Enough has been pushed back to October -- after already having its budget slashed -- and production on the second season of Legends' House has been halted indefinitely. The original plan was to film one right after the other but with the financial situation so dire, it's entirely possible both are cancelled and never see the light of day.

The pre-shows and post event press conferences have already mostly gone by the wayside, with the only surviving specials being filmed inside a studio with no set. New and original programming, at least for now, appears to be completely out of the question.
