A compound is when two or more elements are bonded together chemically due to electron rearrangement.
There is a ratio of the elements, ie glucose is C6H12O6 everywhere on the planet.
A compound is NOT a mixture.

An alloy is a mixture of two or more metals and the %ages can vary hugely

If my OH was to spend 4 grand on something for me - I'd really prefer if it wasn't a ring, could get a secondhand car or a really good bike for that :pac:
