There are encouraging noises coming from Villa Park that Vlaar will be fit for Sunderland on New Years day, I only mention because somebody with huge injury problems seems to have used a transfer to drop him on the last page, he may not be a priority if he's playing but he does have two hard fixtures after Sunderland

Is there anybody in midfield under 6.1 worth looking at for a couple of weeks does anybody reckon?

    Sissoko (New)

I got rid last night with my free transfer - he was about to drop again and was knocking me out of the £5.4m bracket for a defender. Villa are muck at the back anyway. Brought it Sagna and will look to double up on both Arsenal (Mert + Sagna) and Everton (Howard + Coleman) defenders over the next few weeks. A risky move but their fixtures are great:

    Arsenal - Cardiff(H), Villa(A), Fulham(H), Southampton(A), Palace(H)
    Everton - Stoke(A), Norwich(H), West Brom (A), Liverpool(A), Villa (H)

Just one bad fixture in 10 there, week 23 for Everton who face Liverpool. I would swap Howard for Mannone who plays Stoke(H) that week. Probably still play Coleman for attacking threat. Barring injury or major malfunction I'll use my wildcard at the end of January to swap out Howard and Sagna and possibly Mertesacker, as both teams have a tough February.

    This plan could spectacularly backfire.

if ozil was rested and not injured today. I'll probably do oscar to Ozil. Playing wildcard straightaway so its all about getting in the best one week option.

Everton have had nice fixtures for a while now (FUL, SWA, SUN last 3) which I doubled up on - haven't kept a clean sheet at all tho,

They've been unlucky, only conceding one goal per game and last week was a penalty. Even with an extra man Sunderland couldn't score in open play. With Howard and Baines back I can see them tightening up.

Silva to Cazorla for the week is tempting, especially now with Ozil out. Morrison to Sterling would probably be the sensible transfer but Sterling may not start.

Wenger has said Ozil will miss 2 or 3 games with a shoulder injury, might get Cazorla in or go for Coutihno.

I'm thinking Dzeko out Wellbeck in and Nasri out and Walcott in.

Going to sort out my defence with the wild card

I'm going to have to bring in 2 mids for Ozil and Ravel for -4 this week unless I play Ben Turner and Williams against Arsenal and City respectively.

Another set of 1 week gambles and then that wildcard

    Ozil out for Walcott.

Will look at getting him back in with wildcard,

I want a front three of Rooney, Augerio and Suarez for the rest of the year with Wally and Ozil in midfield.

Looks like Jagielka's been downgraded to 25% chance of playing so have to check who I'll get in. Might be worth a punt on a differential player for a couple of weeks until the wildcard.

His red flag should be taken away tomorrow after Everton play . That's what happened with Valencia & Turner today . It will stop him dropping in price tomorrow also and stop him rising or dropping for 8 days after.

Happened just like I said . No fear of him going up or down in price till the 6th of January now .

Morrison out, Sterling in for me once he doesn't get hurt in the next 20 mins.

Fook it, went with the safe option and brought in Zabaletta.

Will be doing a one week punt before my wildcard. THink I will do Ravel to Brunt. Leaves me with Marshall in goals away to Arsenal so maybe I would be better off doing myhil to 5m goalie with a decent fixture. Other option is to do Silva to someone like Cazorla but I will have to get in Silva at 0.2m higher and will lose 0.1m on Ravel too. I'm already scrimping on my desired wildcard team.

Ozil out for Walcott . Which I expect will be one of the most popular transfers this week .

It's a paid league. I think the details are few at this stage

Just got Sagna in for Walker, a move I wanted to make last GW but got rid of Ramsey for Walcott instead.

47 pts so far after the Sford Bridge game with the captaincy to switch from Rooney to Suarez giving an extra 5 pts. Have pulled away from my rivals in my work and gym leagues.

I am taking credit for anyone that brings in Sagna and bags a nice return, based purely on the fact that I brought him in yesterday. Why did he have to go and bag 8 points today! He was meant to be my secret weapon...

Somebody out for Mertesacker. Probably Ben Turner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

People are still transferring Nasri in despite 0 goals and 1 assist in his last 6 games. This during a period where City have scored 17 goals! Granted with Silva out he should at least start but I wouldn't be transferring him in.

Fingers crossed I'm wrong and he bangs in another brace! I'll be booting him out for Silva next week.

Have 8.0 to spend and don,t want to take a points hit. With Ozil and Ramsey injured I'm thinking Wilshere or Arteta could be worth a punt as Arsenal coverage for the next few weeks.

Dzeko OUT for me, and either Adebayor or Welbeck IN :)

    Must decide..

In this context coverage makes no sense as part of a logical plan. Better to have even Fulham players who are likely to be involved in the goals, than Arsenal ones that rarely are.

I think Dzeko will start on Wednesday. Adebayor is at Old Trafford. You have made wiser decisions in your time than to make that transfer.

Ade, Rooney and RVP nearly back means less gametime for Wellbz. Ade likely to be first choice now given the success Sherwood has had with 4-4-2
