So cringey to watch at times. When one person rejects the other at the end. Torturous imagine being rejected on national tv. Bad enough happening a dozen times on a saturday night :pac:

There's a Deep Impact colt running at Newbury today he is breaking records left right and centre in Japan at the minute even better than his sire Sunday Silence who was an outstanding sire. Think Ballydoyle have one or two of his this year

Like the look of belardo and King Crimson tomorrow. Would like to see money on them as they both hail from gambling yards but I've had a go at 7/1 and 8/1 and taken a chance.

If anyone can get on with BF sportsbook, Hint of Frost and Dancingwithangels well worth an e/w double at Roscommon tomorrow. Both 16s

Hint of frost won today easily at 9/2 :(

3 15 Brighton C and D winner Vincenitti looks overpriced at 25s. As low as 14s with a number of firms and I would price it around that. PP going 25s. Won here off 1lb lower mark last year and has won off 78. 1 pt win

Hi all, I usually post in the Competitions thread where people just post free online competitions for others to enter, but when posting this one I reckoned people over here might be more interested in it. Had a look in the charter and reckon that it's ok to post this sort of thing here - might note it's not promoting anything, I just thought people might be interested.

There's a competition on racing website Royal Ascot Site which is offering over 50 prizes but to enter you have to sign up to Bet365. Basically, I just thought it was a good idea to let anyone know that if they were planning on signing up for a new bookmakers account, you can get Bet365's usual sign-up offer but also be entered into this draw if you sign up through the link on Royal Ascot Site, so it's a bit of a no-brainer. Currently the prizes are as follows:

    £500/€500 cash prize
    2 x iPad Air 2’s
    5 x £100/€100 cash prizes
    5 x £50/€50 One4All gift cards
    5 x £50 Amazon vouchers
3 x Pairs of tickets to day 1 of Glorious Goodwood
2 x Pairs of tickets to Longines Irish Champions Weekend
10 x copies of “The Sure Thing: The Greatest Coup in Horse Racing History”
10 x copies of “Winner: My Racing Life” by AP McCoy along with “Being A.P.” on Blu-ray
15 x copies of “Inside Ballydoyle” by Annemarie O’Brien

Anyway, I said I'd post on the competitions forum if I see any more prizes being added so if I remember to, i'll do the same here. Best of luck anyway if you are entering. Mods, if this isn't allowed please feel free to delete the post or move it to an appropriate thread. Apologies if that is the case, just trying to help a few people who might be interested.

Here's the link to the page anyway

Still an almighty punt. Owe to have a trainer who can gauge what he's got and give you the confidence to have a punt like that

I suppose when he owns it himself he might be a bit more concerned with placing.

Keatley sending two to Ayr tomorrow, worthy of a double at near 7/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,484 ✭✭✭Peintre Celebre

Nyquist beaten in the Preakness on Saturday night having ran the first quarter in 22.38. To say his jockey was retarded would be the understatement of the century, to put that into perspective that's about three seconds faster than Frankel's opening quarter when he made all in his guineas on quick ground over a mile. The horse actually did extremely well to even be third such was the ride he got. The racing post reports that is the quickest opening quarter in the history of the Preakness what a moron.

He actually says it was the quickest any horse has gone in the Preakness

Well lads, not sure if many of you follow the GAA championship but I had a good bet on the below yesterday.

Brian Fenton (Dublin) to be named Footballer of the Year @ 33/1 with Paddy Power

Firstly, Dublin will win the All Ireland (Mayo and Tyrone only conceivable challengers) and its 99.9% likely that POTY will come from the winning team.

Dublin players ahead of Fenton in market include Ciaran Kilkenny (9/1 fav), James McCarthy & Diarmuid Connelly (both around 14/1) and Bernard Brogan (20/1).

While Brogan won POTY the first time this team won the All Ireland, a midfielder (MD McCaughley) and half-back (Jack McCaffrey) have won it on the last two successful. The reason why I feel its much more likely for a defender or midfielder to win it for Dublin is the fact that Dublins array of attacking options means they don't overly rely on any particular forward (although Brogan is key) and regularly substitute even their most high profile names. They have developed their game to a high pressing type with runners through the middle their main weapon. This is where I think Fenton will shine.

He won an all-star in his very first year on the team last season, ousting a previously mentioned POTY, he plays almost every minute of every game (unlike most of the forwards) and is only coming into his prime at 23/24. He's sure to get loads of space in a ultra dominant team this summer, and looks very likely to become increasingly dominant in terms of scoring. He also has a good media profile which helps with end of year awards.

I see now he's gone into 22/1 with Paddy Power but given he's 16's with Ladbrokes I think 28/1 with Boyles still looks value in what's likely to be a 5/6 horse race.
