Yeah I'm trying to force myself to call out if I'm a good spawn if I see a teammate is dead and I'm on a good flank or something. It sounds so simple, but paying attention to how many of the squad are alive can help everyone. If only 1 guy is left, shout and let him know so he can take cover and wait for support. I've been guilty of trying to force it as the last guy up and take out the final enemy only to get squad wiped. Squad wipes can be crippling at times and can really kill any momentum, not to mention losing all your squad perks.



The patch went active on all 48 man servers immediately on after the update on Wednesday and on some 64 man servers although I don't think they were tagged as such in the server browser menu. The plan was to check on those handful of servers throughout the day for stability with the large player counts. If everything went well then they were going to start rolling out the new 64 man servers over the next day or so. No idea if they did though.......

I think they are at the moment, game is very smooth today, and there seems to be feck all servers available and its usually around this time they roll stuff out....

I think everyone is guilty of spawning at unfortunate times at some point in time, even experienced players, but I think if you're playing with people who are mic'ed up, the onus is on the person(s) who is alive to be giving a callout if it's safe to spawn and if they NEED you to spawn on them. Tis fundamental competitive gameplay. I'm a very vocal person myself when I do lash on the headset due my competitive days, albeit in COD4 and MW2, less so these days as I'll end up rambling at randomers given the stupidity I feel I'm usually handicapped with, lol.

I think I am alone in liking Rush so...!!

I won't give up on it, I prefer CQ large but Rush has its place, kinda like comparing going for a 3 course meal in a nice restaurant to a lovely snack box, the latter is lovely now and again.

Well despite my rantings about map design, vehicle balance and the average player you come across on the game mode.........I still have great time for Rush. It's no where near as good as in BF3, and worlds away from Bad Company, but when it works it's still fantastic. Nothing wrong with a snack box

I'm one of those, sure I just keep tapping x as soon as I'm dead to get back in only to die again 2 seconds later...

Rush was fine in the previous versions but they changed in for BF4 which the changes were for the worst.

The real issue that turned me off of Rush except for the occasional game was the changing of the playable area. In BF3 and Bad Company the defenders couldn't run straight into the attackers spawn but now the attackers have a much wider scope which they can exploit.

I'm not sure about most of the maps as I've been hammering conquest for the last few months but it's really noticeable on Lancang Dam. From the defenders point of view there's a massive area to the right which snipers can use (albeit snipers don't play the objective but they can still kill people defusing with the occasional SOFLAM user)

In game footage of the Ballistic Shield, DICE are using the CTE to see how it performs. Definitely looks like it'll get a nerf before it's available to everyone though; currently a 1 hit kill if you melee someone and it even protects against a tank shell!

I can already tell I'm going to hate these stupid shields. At least in Modern Warfare the shields broke after a certain amount of damage so I think once a tank shell hits it - it should be automatically discarded.

You'll probably have to count me out then I'm afraid. One of the lads in work is on holiday next week so I'll most likely be covering some extra hours. I'm still free tomorrow night though if we wanna run a few private IRL rounds against each other. Practise and whatnot.

Hopefully they'll be like the UCAV and AA mines, we'll see loads for the first few weeks and then very rarely after that. They do look very situational though. You move very slowly with it deployed and they only block straight on. Side shots still kills you and as the video shows, just throw C4 over their heads . You're right about the tank shells though, that should render them unless after 1 direct hit. Don't like that 1 hit melee kill either

Guys, I got my young lad set up on BF4 and on PSN as a new user and right now he is playing BF4 and has access to Premium and can play online despite not being a PS plus member?

Is this right, perhaps he has it because I have all that on this PS4?

Help appreciated

It's hard to stab him Darren with his lagging all over the place, you go to stab him and he all of a sudden is behind you. :eek:

yeah, the homepage will be streaming it too, i added them all, if you see one i missed, let me know lol

The ps4 browser should be able to stream the html5 youtube channel also

Just outta curiosity, does nobody actually play Battlefield anymore?? Got on last night and there was only 4 on, 2 by tine I went to join a round!

At this rate the game is ****ed when they announce GTA for the PS4 today

I was on for about an hour on Saturday but it was after midnight. I played some Rush and thought the updates visibly helped. Because of work and everything else going on right now though my time to get online has become very limited. It doesn't help then either that the time I did get online I lagged out continually. But like I said it seemed to improve a bit after the last patch. We shall see how long that lasts.

Yesterday was my first Sunday off in months so I was looking forward to getting a few hours in after the kids went to bed. Hardly anyone on and then Ryan joined what I'd already decided was going to be my last round.

Apart from the last week I will be on just as much as always, just been one of those weeks so couldn't play.

I dont play other games so will be slogging away until Hardline or BF5

Rumours abound GTA V is a timed exclusive to Xbone....

I don't really care anyway, I wont buy it "next gen" unless it has extra content a la The Lost And Damned or The Ballad Of Gay Tony
