    Not necessarily.
Alfa gta's go for at least half the price of an equivalent in the uk.
Anything with a big petrol engine and low mpg is dirt cheap here as well.

New cars are way more expensive here, but older big engines cars are cheap. :)

I thought Ireland was cheaper than elsewhere (and it is for the most part) but in terms of oddball US versions, Ireland is a lot dearer than even the UK. And none really sell here either.
I'm looking for a dodge pre '83, or a ford pre '83 pickup. The only ones for sale in Ireland are either 3-4k more than the UK or (once in a while when they are realistically priced) they sell within hours.
What costs $2k in america tends to cost £6-7k GBP here.

It's to do with supply and demand but also rarity. Pickups like that are just everywhere in America and are used for everything, Basically the equivalent of a HiAce or a Transit or a Dyna here. They serve a practical function and nothing else where are here they are rare, interesting and exotic.

It works the other way too, Look at the price of this golf and it even has an ABS light on :eek:

EDIT: Just look what you could get instead of a ****ty golf :cool:

    Mental

Was mental in all the major shopping centers in dublin yesterday (me being male I did all my shopping in about 4-5 hrs :P ).

I've never seen dundrum so busy, all the levels of the carpark were full. Perhaps 1-2 spaces per level.

In fairness, most of it was spent driving.
Did nearly 100 miles yesterday between shopping centers

It's not "vintage" in the UK at that age so there's no attraction over an 85, 95 or 05.

You can expect to see more of them too I'd say.

Does it surprise you though, really? :pac:

There won't ever be one. The 514d seems to be this mythical boards car.

They are all brainwashed into thinking the daysul is the safe sensible option for the school run.

And the ones complaining about it are the ones that won't ever buy what they say should be bought new anyway (far too content to bemoan how others spend their money on the interweb) so if the brainwashed are happy then leave them off:D

Can't see them putting a 95 brake engine into a 5 series. The 518 and 316 have been staples of the ranges for many, many years however in various guises so nothing new there.

    ROTFL

There wasn't an e39 or e60 518 I think but every other 5 series had one of some description. And they were popular enough too at the time in Ireland and other underdeveloped countries. You can roll on the floor laughing but that's a fact.

My folks had an E34 518i years ago :)

Neighbour imported a 95 e34 from the UK years ago. Looked the business until you peered inside. Nice velour and arm rests but work out windows in keeping with its place on the pecking order.

Good call @Yop on Kieran Burke tyres.

Went in there today to get a screw in back left fixed all four wheels rebslanced and alignment retracked for sixty quid.

Very good setup and young fella who did it was second to none but most importantly for the first time in 18 months of ST ownership I have zero steering wheel shake. When I'm reshoeing in Feb they will gety business. Was shown a very good looking Yokohama performance tyre at 160 a corner that looks very good and will last more than the 10 months the Goodyear f1's did

High powered fwd cars tend to be this way I got an engineering company to straighten the buckles in the wheels got wheels balanced twice tracking done twice and had given up hope of curing it 100% and put it down to a sporadic brake caliper catching but now its fixed

Tbh was only noticeable above 90kmph so only on motoreays

Just a lot more pressure on the front tyres and suspension in general they have to handle traction as well as the physics of cornering.
