Had a late lecturer this evening 4-6 pm. So I was heading home got out of cork up the motorway m8 then at the bridge about 3 km before exit 14 fermoy all the cars were coming to a stop a crash future up after exit 14 :( I thought I was never going to get home so got of the motorway at exit 14 and took the old roads to clonmel. So mitcheltown, chair clonmel. I've never actually traveled the back roads. Luckily I didn't get lost still took almost 3 hours to get home the last thing I wanted after a long day.

Anyway I stopped of in parcel motel on the way home to collect my fitted mats from value car mats in the uk. There was a thread about it a while back they have great deals on. I didn't bother opening them but I can't wait to have proper mats :) I find it's always little things like the mats that make a huge difference same with the night breaker bulbs which were great on the long drive home tonight. They shine so much light in to the ditches to so you can properly see people walking too. Stuff like that makes the a car so much nicer / more pleasant to drive.

Let us know how you get on with the mats and put up pics !

Mine are knackered and all folded op on the corners and one of the clips is busted :(

Will do. They have the holes for the clips and all. But my big problem is my focus doesn't have the actually 2 pieces of plastic for the mat to clip on to. So I don't know whether the clips can be bought and fixed to the floor or what.

    Was wondering the same myself.

Mine still has them but my boxador puppy chewed up a part of it that fell off (ford build quality lol) the bit you twist etc. when i had them out cleaning it for the nct last year.

Small things but still annoying, like the fact the two clips above the rear windown one is missing for the roof lining and when i open the boot the roof lining hangs abit so the edge sticks out and not in behind like it should be.

Oh well i paid peanuts for what it is so cant complain really.

You should come to the meet we can be focus 2 buddies and i can experience the tdci boo !

When you screwed out yours is there a threaded piece of metal under the carpet that they screw into or how are they fixed?

I was going to go to that meet but I'm away that weekend unfortunately. Hopefully I'll get to one over the Summer. They seem like good fun alright.

That black Accord in the bangernomics tread looks quite nice

Got an insurance quote on it.

Headscratching time - I need to/want to/should spend my money on other things.

Its not the car for me - thinking Lancer/Panda/Fiesta instead.

Scratch chin again - I think I will leave it.

Nice car though if it all checked out.

Anyway ignore me - im just thinking outloud

If a tester did that to my car i would leap through the windown and stuff his head in my 5 inch exhaust tip like the turnip he was

I think when they rev the car for ages on the emissions tester. It either means that the emission are to low and the machine isn't registering the test happens mainly on newer diesel with dpf. Or the car is failing on emissions and the tester is doing you a favour trying to get them to drop so it will pass. Obviously they probably only do that when the car is boarder line but its failing according to the machine.

    This was a petril yoke

They had a problem with the Bravo that they couldn't hold a steady rev but weren't redlining it.

This is the first time I've seen them do this....

Probably trying to get it hot to pass emissions. Was it on the limiter or just revving high?
