...and despite his best efforts, Jerry Lee remains around. Accidentally fill a coke bottle with petrol and torch the place because Chuck Berry wins the toss. As you do.

As much as I enjoy the music and talking heads I love looking at the old value gear and tape machines!

    Dave Clark!

Decent enough band, but that Doc turned me right off them.

But...but...they were just as culturally relevant as the Beatles and the Stones!

I got the impression that the Supremes were a trio for a period much longer than implied in that clip ( as opposed to Diana Ross and the....) but you can evidently see who the leader was even then.

I saw little Stevie in concert once.

He did a great set, proper legend.

My favourite part was when he messed up the start of a song and had to begin again. He said "Oh, sorry about that, I wasn't looking at the keyboard" :pac:

He has probably used that line hundreds of times, but I enjoyed it.

The Foundations lead singer's voice is a bit 'shaky'.

    Shaky.

    Suit yourselves.

Interesting that Tom couldn't believe that Delilah was a serious song.

It was many, many years after I first heard The Green Green Grass Of Home that I realised it was about the last hours of a man on death row.

I love that Maggie May performance with a tipsy John Peel miming the Mandolin while Rod and the Faces have a kickabout :)

Significantly, the director chose not to focus too closely on John Peel's mandolin "solo" in Maggie May.

Anybody watching Noel Gallagher on BBC Three?

Never noticed before how the verse of 'Fade Away' is very similar to Wham's 'Freedom' :D

Ah sure, Noel has never been shy about sampling great musical works :)

    http://www.feelnumb.com/2009/12/16/oasis-shes-electric-lyric-taken-from-the-childrens-show-you-and-me/
“You And Me” was a BBC television program for pre-school children broadcast in the 1970s to 1990s. It was the British version of “Sesame Street” and consisted of various segments intended to educate and entertain young children and included elements for early literacy and numeracy. Click below to listen to the theme song Noel Gallagher stole the lyrics from…

I remember Frank Skinner pointing this out to Noel on his talk show, and Noel didn't deny it!

Some nice Oasis songs in his set tonight.

Yeah, they are a bit annoying. Don't see the point.

Although it did remind me to watch that Netflix documentary on Backing Singers.

Love Don't Look Back in Anger ... never gets old.
