This is a great day...rock wise...

Earlier on I passed my grade 8 electric guitar exam.

My head is still a bit sore from absolutely blaring Appetite For Destruction on the way home.

Oh, and I got my tickets for The Darkness next weekend.

    Yeeeeaaah!

Florence - everything she does is turned up to 11, it's wearying, what can she do for an encore? Hopefully they'll show some SFA from the Other Stage.

The BBC should make June 26th Lemmy Day every year. Play that doc on BBC Four while BBC Two shows the Motorhead Glasto set. Lovely stuff.

That Doc was great, even if the Nazi gear was a bit cringey. But its OK because he said he had black girlfriends so he couldn't be a racist. And furthermore ...
Lemmy spoke about his collection of Nazi paraphernalia in a December interview with New York Waste. "I don't only collect Nazi stuff, I collect objects from all the Axis countries," he said. "Also from countries who aren't even mentioned anymore as former parts of the Axis. Like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Hungary."

"From the beginning of time, the bad guys always had the best uniforms. Napoleon, the Confederates, the Nazis. They all had killer uniforms. I mean, the SS uniform is ****ing brilliant! They were the rock stars of that time. What you're gonna do? They just look good."

    http://www.theguardian.com/music/2008/jul/11/news.culture

Once again, Lemmy is not a Nazi. Or a Racist.

Newsnight made this video as a salute to Florence and The Machine (whose set came on BBC 2 directly afterwards), but then those pesky Greeks called a referendum and they didn't have time to show it
We'll be joined at the end of tonight's show by a huge audience of music fans, as BBC2 goes to the 2015 Glastonbury Festival, for the Friday night headline act, the one and only Florence and the Machine. BeIng a hip show ourselves, we dug into the BBC archive to find one of Florence's very first performances, from way back in 1971. At least it said it was them on the dopesheet.

Just looking at some Glasto, and I see there is a posh part and then a barrier separating them from the chavvy hordes. Its not a festival I have good thoughts about on account of the way its become a honey pot to the trustfund types, BBC and Guardian luvvies etc.

Feck missed Burt Bacharach. His work with Hal David is legendary.

Watching Miss Faith at the moment. Not my cup of tea but my God the girl can sing. Unlike the whining we had to endure last night courtesy of Miss Florence

Bacharach on again on red button now, expect it'll be on again. Brilliant set.

Hope Kayne puts on an awesome show, just to shut up those snobby, narrow-minded British people.
