Vatican Announce €300 Million Investment In Better, Stronger Prayers

    http://waterfordwhispersnews.com/2015/11/18/vatican-announce-e300-million-investment-in-better-stronger-prayers/
IN what is the biggest investment in prayer research in the history of Christianity and Catholicism, the Vatican has today announced a €300 million research fund into discovering better, stronger prayers. The Vatican’s chief prayologist Fr. Dr. Gavrillio Vasimilio will head up a research team of 10 priests who will travel the world in an effort to hit upon more effective payers.

“It is a great honour, but also a great pressure,” explained Fr. Dr. Vasimilio, who hoped the research would result in several historic breakthroughs. “As everyone is aware Our Fathers, and Hail Marys are now 30% weaker than they were in the 1970s, there is a need for stronger prayers if there is to be any hope of God answering any of them,” Fr. Dr. Vasilimio explained.

With the general public’s weariness with God’s possible role in near endless natural disasters, and tragedies the Vatican is betting big with their investment, aiming for a revolutionary discovery in prayers. “I’ve spent years in our laboratory in a specially designed confession box, altar and pew, trying out prayer after prayer and no luck. So we must branch out into the world and seek fresh ideas, and that one prayer that will hit the 5th decade of the Rosary used to,” Fr. Dr. Vasilimio concluded.

If you have any prayers you believe could help the Vatican in their request, please contact them on 1850-The-Pope.

    From TheJournal.ie
TWENTY PRIESTS ARE going to be available to hear confession at the SkyCourt Shopping Centre in Co Clare on 8 December.

Shannon parish priest Fr Tom Ryan told TheJournal.ie that the Mercy on the Mall initiative is to mark the opening of the Year of Mercy.

Fr Ryan said he was inspired by Pope Francis’ call for priests to “go to marketplace and proclaim the story of god”.

He said he has organised for 20 priests to be available at various locations throughout the shopping centre from 1-6pm on 8 December for “a confession, a chat, a blessing or a prayer”.

As one of the comments says, "I hear it has Irelands biggest lingerie section"

Lets all play a game of mystery shopper. We head to Skycourt. We all have to think of a sin. It can be anything you want but you have to tell the same sin to every priest. Lets see which gives the toughest penance.

    lmao ..
gosh out of twenty priests, there's bound to be some major variations. I can tell you one thing. The priest Ryan. (if it's the same guy I remember when I lived there years back.) is a big softy.

Want to know who does a fast mass? Easy penance? Cheap mass cards?

    It's all on ratemyparish.com

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

'Softy'? Does that mean he wanted to [CENSORED] but he couldn't [CENSORED] before he could even try to [CENSORED] ?

So - how does this 'spent til you repent' thing work? Where does it happen? Is there any privacy? A row of chairs in the atrium where everyone can hear your durrty business? If it's little secluded rooms somewhere, is it over 18s? If not what child safety guidelines apply? The centre is liable if it allows an activity to take place on its premises where child safety cannot be guaranteed.

Surely it's only liable if an event actually occurs that it could be held liable for?

Christmas one is an urban legend unfortunately. The early church were very careful not to have their festivals on the same day as other religions feast days. Stuff like presents the Christmas tree and several other elements were integrated but not the date or the festival per say

Halloween was also avoided, all saints being the day after but similar theme

Not the exact date, but they were still aimed to be around the same time and to take from it.

There's no doubt that the early church grafted their own uniform doxology unto various existing rituals.
