Even with the FF Scout site, I agree that the articles written by the guys running the site are excellent but some of the 'main contributors' in the discussion threads are full of sh1t and so many people take their advice

Leave them off. Makes it easier for us.

So you're saying McShane for captain week 1 is a bad idea?

If anyone's taking advice, the top 50 managers on this page seem to know what their doing:

    http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/hall-of-fame/career/

    I'm at 723 so do I qualify?

Given I'm only 1200 odd I doubt I'm qualified to say if you qualify, better ask number 722 or higher

Myself and SMB said it before but I honestly think if people are posting advice on here, as frequently as some are particularly, they should be linking to their previous positions or including them in their sigs.

Anyone know who'll be the caentre back pairing for Utd?
    Vidic/Ferdinand/Evans/Smalling/Jones?

The back 5 should start regularly enough, so depending on fixture's, ill rotate
Kinda the same with midfield, giving that Bale stays
Cant see why Clark wouldnt start the Elk. Proven scorer in the PL. Berbatov is Berbatov, scored a few on pre-season. Then Graham im not too sure about, but for the price, ill hold onto him

I would assume Rio / Vidic but I guess it depends if Vidic will be fit..

Not really. I finished 12th in the boards.ie league in my first season.

If you post advice, and give the logic behind it, its up to the person to agree or disagree themselves. If everyone agreed all the time, we'd all have the same teams and the game would be pointless.

Alot of teams tend to end up the same. I'm seeing alot of Mignolet, Coleman, Mert, Bale, Walcott and Negredo in teams for example.

Only reason I went with Negredo is because I saw everyone else doing it :pac:

given the respective starts, a Chelsea, and in particular at least one City attacker, is paramount.

a team is a bit fail without them IMO.

But City have 4 outstanding strikers. Is Aguero even a nailed on starter 100% of the time?

agree with you there once someone gives a reason for their advice you make your own mind up, also if you find someone has giving you good/bad advice you will know the next time. From posting on here less than a year Id have certain posters Id listen to more than others as Im sure certain people listen to me more than others. One things for sure when Mr Prodston speaks the whole forum takes notice.

Well ok if previous history is anything to go by then I guess my comments don't hold much weight to many here. This is my 5th year and only my 3rd year taking it seriously. With only half a season of FSA experience and a rule with a friend that we wouldn't have the same players up until this year when I realised how ridiculous it was and how much more seriously I take the game. I didn't have Michu at all last year for example, or RVP the year before that. This has now been scrapped!

    09/10: 600,000....a very casual player
    10/11: 444,000....still a casual player
11/12: 12,858.....My first year taking a real keen interest
12/13: 58,853.....No Michu effectively gave me a 75/100 point gap to bridge, coupled with missing 8 gameweeks in Feb/Mar due to travelling Southeast Asia, making about 2 transfers in that time which went horribly wrong as I put 2 minutes thought into. I was 160,000 with 7 GWs to go so was delighted to claw back that far in such a short period of time.

So I don't have all the answers but I believe that with the help and camaraderie on here I have become a much better/consistent player even if it hasn't been proved yet. I think I've just about found my feet now and its time to kick on.

:pac: Thanks :) but I highly doubt it, no more than anyone else, or they shouldn't anyway. Especially once they read my history above

-In and around the top 100 in the world in the Fantasy Football Scout Live Hall of Fame.

-Placed 4k, 5k and 2k in the world in the last 3 years.

-Takes lots of points hits like a boss.

My piece of advice is not to post until you have put the effort into selecting each and every one of your squad players before you post your team. I have people on my @FPLStrategist twitter feed who have players in their team and they have no idea why they are there other than they were told to put them there by a player of unknown skill. It's madness.

Do the hard work yourself, then come for the debate.

Interested for your view on my team FG:

There is no gaurantee that Negredo is a first-team player. Like they do have Jovetic and Aguero....and to a lesser extent Dzeko. But any of those 3 could easily be picked ahead of Negredo.

Given the money they paid for Negredo, his age and the fact he's worked with Pelligrini before, in my opinion, gives him a decent shout at starting.

Not as bad as the midfield of Walcott, Bale, Michu, Mata and Fellaini that everyone had to have after the January wildcard last season. It never worked out.

    Here are my credentials:

'09/10: 30,565 - I had no idea what I was doing. I took hits every week and didn't realise that I was being deducted for a good while.

'10/11: 524,931 - Final year of college. My life was taken over by my thesis and I gave up around February. I wish I could erase that season.

'11/12: 4,087 - I started off poorly but really kicked on just after Christmas. Realised the benefit of not taking as many point hits.

'12/13: 5,700 - I had almost no time some weeks to change my team. I'd say more than half of my changes were made on Friday nights before heading out for pints. I knew how to play the game though and that got me by. Only one point hit all season.

I contributed a lot to the discussion in the '11/12 season but relied almost entirely on the judgements of others last season. I've no shame in that. I came on here and picked players on the basis of what other posters were saying.

I will have even less time this year. I'm committed to it at the moment but that could easily change.

He looked very good when he came on vs South China. Pelligrini has been talking up the importance of all 4 of them. All of them are well able to score goals I can see a good bit of rotation unless two of them really hit it off.

Could I get this team rated if you dont mind?

    Mignolet
    Coleman Terry Mertesacker
    Hazard Bale Brady Giaccherini
V Persire Bony(Remy if he signs for Newcastle) Cornelius

    Morrison Turner Baker Davis (GK)

Not sure on Terrys game time I think Azpi is more likely to play 180 mins for the same price. I would prefer to only have two "punts" starting Giaccherini, Bony and Cornelius are all fairly punty at this point.

Jenkinson won't be starting unless we get more injuries before the season starts.....Vermaelen and Monreal are already out and will likely miss the start so that leaves us with:

    Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs.

Sagna moved in centrally during pre-season as Koscielny had a knock but that 4 will certainly be our defence if if all fit come mid-August.

Lads if I could give ye one piece of advice. Be very careful where you are getting RMT advice from. I have to say, the internet is filling with all these "experts" on twitter and they haven't a f*cking clue what they are saying. I'm reading people on other sites recommending the most Godawful players and sticking to formations that are not right at all.

Stick with boards.ie. The only other site I trust is the scout website and I would even say that boards has a higher proportion of good players than any site.

have to agree with you on that, a person I follow was banging on a few weeks ago about his great "cheat", get rooney in now with 3 Chelsea players and you'll have 4 Chelsea players if there's a dgw and he joins them.
I very politely, said "mate, that wouldn't work because you wouldn't be able to make another transfer between now and the start of gw1 or it'd ask you to transfer out a Chelsea player before you do any other transfers", he replied saying "oh yeah, you're right, thanks for pointing it out"

Now that the dgw is confirmed he's back on today tweeting about his great "cheat" again just to reel in casual players. he knows it won't work. (unless the rooney transfer happens a couple of days before gw1 starts and you're happy with your team and don't want to make anymore transfers)

How do I paste my team in as an image and not a link from Gyazo folks?

Even then, you'd be stuck with 4 chelsea players in your team. You'd pretty much have to wildcard in GW2 to fix it.

When you have the gyazo image, right click and select the 'open image in new tab' option. This gives you the complete url. Copy the url, click on 'insert image' in the Boards reply function and paste it into the image box and click ok. By the way this is for Chrome, not sure about any other browser.
