Yep, can confirm lots of thunder and some lightning in Clare. Actually the most thunder i've heard in 6.5yrs of living in Ireland. It's currently pouring down. I also saw a tornando funnel cloud around 12.30

Strikes from those news cells near the Waterford/Tipp border. Multicell import from Wales is about halfway across and still active.

Another intense cell developing over West Kildare and into Offally

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,134 ✭✭✭✭maquiladora

That looks tasty. Possible further convection as it hits land?

Looks to be fizzling a bit on radar but new cells are popping up on the eastern side.

It is looking exciting in the Limerick area.

Heaviest of the Irish Sea storm seem to be edging for N Wexford and Wicklow. Sferics have lessened somewhat

    Nothing in the city... YET!
We had a few sparks and thunder around half six/seven yesterday evening here though. Anxiously awaiting more.

Not amounting to much here just outside Wexford Town. Went very dark, cars driving with lights on, but now we have 'normal' rain rather than the torrential downpour it looked as if we were going to get. No sign of lightening or thunder.

It seemed to heading for Wexford Town about an hour ago but is now heading further north towards the Arklow area.

It seems like Wicklow town is in the firing line now. A new seferic just popped up there.

Damn, missed that, must have been looking the wrong way! Didn't see any ground strikes, seemed to be all sheet lightning within the clouds.
