RK coming off an Maitland staying on is interesting.

Yeah. Don't think we can read into the benching at all, cuz by the sounds of it RK hasn't played well at all.

being told in work that Farrell did enough to displace Sexton...

    :pac:

At least your co-workers have a sense of humour :)

He played well enough to maybe actually be trusted off the bench this week

I doubt it barring injury, if he's so clearly your 2nd choice FH why bring him on for what could be the crucial last few minutes of a test match? He does cover so many positions I can see him coming on at some point though

Shouldn't have gone and pass wasn't exactly the crispest to one of the last people he should pass to. He's in the "trying to hard" bracket too. Little kick over the top there that wasn't on.

He shouldn't be passing to a backrow forward?

I don't think Murray is trying too hard at all for what it's worth. If anything he doesn't back himself enough

Could mean RK at 23, Bowe at 14 and Cuthbert out of the 23

    From BBC text commentry:

"Sean O'Brien, the man of the match, must have exploded into the Lions squad for the second Test. He has just scored a great try from a line-out, crashing over. The Lions will win this comfortably and this will be a good boost for Saturday."

his kicking has been flawless. Would have been interesting to see how it would go down if halfpenny wasnt in the equation.

People should stop stressing about the Sky commentary (unless you're one of the few here actually paying for it ;) )

Everything is 'terrific' or 'fantastic'. Love the Super Rugby commentators - much more even.

I'm only listening to the game but RTE saying RK had a poor game? Might be carrying an injury?

Listening to this on RTE Radio 1 Extra. Michael Corcoran keeps referring to Manu Tuilagi as Manu Tuilangi. I could understand if it was a complicated name but it’s pretty poor

Just doesn't have a spark, hopefully he's eased back in familiar surroundings in the Rabo next season, this isn't the place to be finding form

They got a lineout in the 22 from that kick which led to a try.

He has done alright. One pass that was way too strong at man next to him there but has been his usual self. Collected the ball, ran hard at line and hasn't missed any tackles (although should have put their lock down earlier). Not the prominent mistakes of others but not the eye catching moments either. I'd be surprised if he was on the bench but they could be protecting him as he's second choice in a specialist position.

nah, end of Kearney's involvement with the Lions this series imo.

Maitland has had a good game.

The Tuilagis have always had their name pronounced like that.

That's what I think. The locks can play the 80 and it won't effect next week.

Yes but if Evans picks up a knock we've Gray on the bench and that would be a disaster.

I think tuilangi is a more precise saying of the name

He has ran directly into the line in promising attacking positions looking to break, he tried a kick over the top with nobody near that handed back possession, he tapped and went a penalty in a good position and tried flopping a pass to a bloke that generally touches the ball about twice a game. That would suggest to me he's trying to mix things up a lot rather than keeping it flowing and what's the best option.

Croft could cover locks if need be.
