True :) One of the excuses my insurer tried to give for the 45% increase in my policy was gender equalisation lol :)

@ Ded, is MM not in his mid forties?

I saw earlier in this thread I think that someone had fully comp on other cars too!

My premium last year was €550 fully comp :D

My tractor is €750 fully comp for the year, that's with one year NCB, 2 points and a previous claim

    The truck is €240 though

Revenue determine the OMSP for a 2007 2.0TDI 170 A4 is €15,339 and VRT is €2,900. However they determine that the same spec but 168BHP OMSP is €7,859 and VRT is €1,807. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Haha, any idea if there's anything I can do, or is it a case of pay the VRT and hope they give me a refund. What a crock of **** this is.

Ultimately it's going to be whatever they say at the NCT centre.

Car insurance quotes online can be just fiction, possible the VRT quotes are too?

I'm a guy, 3ltr twin turbo, 4 penalty points and the car is worth a considerable amount.

I bet you have this on your online dating profile.
Yes, I'm assuming you have one. :pac:

I wouldn't deal with them on principle. Those Mario Rosenstock ads are a disgrace.

I'd also not buy a Opel because of those ads.

Cheers for advice, have decided against that Audi and am going to chance importing again, have imported a fair few but not at this money, most I gave revenue before was €1800. Spotted a few on eBay that don't seem to be on AutoTrader or PistonHeads.

This one in particular, although I've a feeling it's going to go over my budget.

I learned in Carlow that car talk is of no interest whatsoever to women so even if I did have an online dating profile, I wouldn't use it knowing what I know :P

    MutiCar FAQ:
If one vehicle on the MultiCar policy has a claim will it affect the no-claim discount on all vehicles?
The no-claim discount would only be affected on that particular vehicle.

It's not one policy it's two seperate policies with the second being discounted on the basis of the first being with Aviva. Our health insurance is also with them which adds further to the discount.
