dgt is the opposite, the only time there's any change in the smoke cloud is when he changes gear :D

Not to mention you'd be hard pressed to see the change in the cloud of smoke as he relaxes and changes gear, given the vast puffs of devil fuelled smoke his car emits?

Go to bed child, sleep and wake naturally

One good thing about my job is that when I travel like that I get time out so tomorrow I'm gonna sleep until I wake :)

I'm seriously considering buying this car: http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/06-a4-sline-2-yrs-nct/5792276

Lovely spec, few things I'd like to do to it but also like most things about it, flush exhausts, hate tailpipes sticking out, I love the interior, love the paintwork, I don't like the plate in dash, I need to see the alloys in person to know if I like them or not. Rang him today and he told me the timing belt was done at some stage but doesn't have a record, I told him that means I'll have to do it when I buy it.

    What do you all think?

Just spotted this on Donedeal. Looks like some misfortune had the car taken on a possible test drive. I've no connection to the owner or car but just wanted to spread the word. Should be easy enough to spot.

    Contact details in DD ad.

It has been stolen from Westpark in CityWest close to Saggart between 1.40 and 7am from outside the house.

granny nearly reversed into me and other cars. I was driving up fosters avenue from the n11 side, when a granny, out of control reversed out of her driveway just behind me, onto fosters avenue and crossed both lanes of fosters avenue, mounted the kirb at the far side, went through a fence and stalled the car in the ucd woods. She was fine, but stunned, car looked ok as well. She asked me to drive the car out of the woods. I told her the car looked stuck, and walked her back to her house. Her sister then turned up at the house so I left them to it. Nothing really to report, I think both her and her sister are of the opinion that she shouldn't be driving.

Getting insurance quotes is a pain in the face, however so far I'm down from 570 to 440 for my own insurer and down to 377 from another if I go tpft which tbh makes sense as it's not worthwhile having fully comp on my car given how old it is. I'd not make a claim on it.

Do you have to specify that you want fully comp driving other cars before you'll get it rather than TPFT as standard or do some insurers give it as standard?

None of the insurers I talked to will give cover other than tpft driving other cars on either comprehensive or tpft policies.

The quotes I'm getting tpft include glass cover, tpft on other cars and motor rescue :)

Aviva win so far, own company are down to €400 tpft

I saw earlier in this thread I think that someone had fully comp on other cars too!

My premium last year was €550 fully comp :D

Revenue determine the OMSP for a 2007 2.0TDI 170 A4 is €15,339 and VRT is €2,900. However they determine that the same spec but 168BHP OMSP is €7,859 and VRT is €1,807. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Mine fully comp was €399 :D Have now gotten it for €425 :D

As per a post on here I tried click4cover, and was amazed when they informed me they could only get one quote from one insurer as my car is classed as a sports car.

Not one site I went onto (Aon, Liberty, Aviva, Axa, NoNonsense) were bothered about it.

And click4cover came in with a quote of €650!

What are the benefits like on the TPFT? I'd pay the extra for the Fully Comp if it came with Windscreen cover and the drive other cars extension, which a lot of TPFT don't.

It's generally standard at this stage for an average policy be it TPFT or Comp to give TPE.

    Who refuses you?

True :) One of the excuses my insurer tried to give for the 45% increase in my policy was gender equalisation lol :)

@ Ded, is MM not in his mid forties?
