Is there actually any decent bike related films?

    Motorcycle Diaries. ;)

Is there actually any decent bike related films? First one always springs to mind for me is Bikerboyz which was rubbish.

Yeah, Biker Boys was pretty awful alright. But it's nowhere near as bad as Torque. If you haven't seen it, watch it to see just how bad a movie can be. Especially the girls fighting on bikes. Shocking stuff!

No good bike movies though, but docu/movies would be Faster and Fastest. All about MotoGP.

    Aye, and as above. LOL

    Do NOT do this!!

Challenging a dog that is acting out of character is completely unsound advice. In fact you should NEVER challenge a dog that is clearly asking you to back off or you will get bitten. No way would I ever introduce my dog to people it didn't know by suggesting people challenge her!!

Killer, sounds like there could be something medically at fault with the dog for its sudden change towards you or indeed a recent event may have it uncertain with people other than its owner. There's a lot of reasons a dogs mood can change suddenly. Inform the owner and ask if this is a recent transition. If so I'd suggest getting it to the vet and get in touch with a QUALIFIED canine behaviourist.

So you are suggesting that being the weaker animal is sound advice then?
No it's not. A dog growling or snarling at you is no excuse. It is a DOG and we are its masters. You back down and you are showing full weakness and he will remember that and will treat you differently.
Worst thing you can do is show a dog weakness.

I've 4 aswell and my insurance company didn't penalise me.

I adore Silent Hill because it freaks the crap out of me. Never played the games though. Also, the sequel is total rubbish...

I saw the first Silent Hill movie, and it was bad, but films based off video games rarely have high standards. It wasn't the worst I've ever seen, that goes to Alone in the Dark *shudder*.

Yeh I think it depends on your insurance company, ill find out in due coarse. The annoying things is I wouldnt mind getting them if I had been speeding excessively, or had no seat belt or something both were for speeding less than 15kmh over the speed limit and one at 00:50 and the other 2:05 in the morning dirty basterds had them both on straight long stretchs of straight roads at that hour purely there for getting more tax out of us nothing to do with safety on them roads or at that hour, they already have me on the higher tax rate on my wages bleed ya fcuking dry country really is a joke taxed to shiit on everything.

From what I remember its only Aviva that penalise you for having points, having said that its been 2 years since I worked in insurance so things might have changed

That's the thing that annoys me the most!! At one stage I had 10 points on my licence and all of them (except one) was for 8mph over the limit or 10mph over the limit. It's hardly speeding FFS! AND was caught in what would not be a dangerous place but has stupidly low speed limits too!!

Pisser Marty, I feel your pain. Re: servicing, what does it need? Is it the basics oil, plugs, filters etc.?

Ah stop right pain in the nads, if I was doing double the speed limit at 5 p.m I would hold my hands up and they say the cameras are in accident blackspots my hole every camera I see is alway's placed on a straight stretch of road with a very low speed limit so they can catch the max amount of people.

Yeh just the basics I have a mate who does the likes of my brakes for free so just get it serviced and the Honda stamp for piece of mind really the Accord has a chain not a belt and Honda guarantee the chain for life once you have a full Honda service history, smart ploy by them really but Honda even for the gold standard service as they call it, work out at 250. If they notice anything or want to do anything else I always tell them no thanks. Hopefully this will be the last service I give her If I can ever find a car I like :).

    Congrats January :).

I thought it went without saying that of coarse there would be a boards T&P table at the wedding, more than likely shoved down the back somewhere but still...

    Howdy all!

Got a distinction in the last unit of coursework I handed up so I'm frickin' delighted. Was boarding the mark for the last two units but got pulled down on silly things like grammer/spelling and lack of referances. Only referanced paragraphs where it was asked, but apparently it should be every answer  So I'm just a bit chuffed with myself :D Can still aim for a distinction for the overall thing now :D

Congrats January, are you having fun organising the wedding plans or is it a bit of a pain in the rear at times :)

Went to Lidls today and bought this new tub of cookie dough ice-cream for about €2.50. MOTHER OF GOD IT'S DELISCIOUS.
Even nicer than Ben & Jerrys! D:
I think the brand is called McKennedys. It's American style anyways. Couldn't get one of the artist easels they had on special offer ass it weighted a ton and I don't have a car. Oh well..
My book full of facial expressions arrived in the post yesterday! :D DRAW ALL THE SKULLS!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,865 ✭✭✭✭January

Well done FoxyVixen! What course are you doing?

Having fun at the moment, but I'm really only starting out, ask me closer to the wedding and I'll probably give you a different answer...

I was toying with the idea of wearing a colourful dress and putting my bridesmaids in white... Was thinking of a purple dress... but we'll see!

Ooohh, what book is it if you don't mind me asking? Usually use photos of my own face to get the expression I want to draw, would be nice to have a decent referance book.

Well done FoxyVixen! What course are you doing?

It's a course in canine health and welfare with specialist topics in training, rescue and rehabilitation. I want to do a Masters in Animal Behaviour (with companion animals not livestock) and become a qualified canine behaviourist.

Oooohh that's a great idea :D. Very alternative and you'd definitely stand out with white surrounding you in photos :).

Should I ever get married there will definitely be red incorporated into my dress. Something similiar to this

I did not go looking for a dress mind you, it was in an ad on ebay that got my attention :pac:

DO EET!! The Cookie Dough ice cream is aboslutely gorgeous! I'm seriously tempted to scoop myself another bowlful but I have to pace myself. Can't go back to the bad ol' days when I'd happily eat an entire pint sized tub of ice cream all on my lonesome. Nope. Won't do it.

Why must everything in Lidl be so utterly deliscious?

EDIT: RE: FoxyVixen: This book right here. It is excellent!
