Just to add, as many already have, that the interview with Tommy Tiernan on their Saturday show was excellent.

Yes - the best of their Saturday interviews so far, I think

Thought that political podcast was really poor. I know Ken made light of the fact that everyone has anti-Russian fatigue at this stage. A podcast on Russia I can take, but two liberals in an echo chamber I can not. I have said this before, but if he is going to have someone on who conforms so closely to his own views on the world he really should have a contrarian on to argue the other side.

Is your issue not with the format then rather than this political pod? They are mostly fairly echo chambery.

I don’t really enjoy the political pods. Just not my bag but thought this one was ok; not bad, not great.

I've enjoyed the political pods, but the one this week was a slog, I gave up after maybe 20/25 minutes due to sheer boredom. Pity.

Am I mistaken or has there been no preview of this weekend’s GAA?

I'd be slow to criticise the lads, but it's pretty poor that there's been nothing yet. Surely be a GAA pod released before the end of today...

Yeah it was a weak one this time around.

When I saw it pop up in the feed I thought, "ah no, I'm sick to death about hearing about Russia, Putin etc, etc" but out of my respect for Ken being honest about that right out of the gate I listened to it. And it turned out to be a pretty dull conversation.

    Doesn’t look like it.

Their GAA coverage has been piss poor this Summer. When the World Cup was on that took up a lot of time obviously but even with no football on it's been a complete afterthought.

Premier League back next weekend too.

I wouldn't say it has been piss poor, but it certainly has been disappointing at times. I find myself listening to The GAA Hour (woolys podcast) for my GAA fix. Very poor that there was no preview pod from the lads this week in fairness

I assume they look at the numbers and see GAA doesn’t get them. I’m a GAA fanatic but I find the SC’s GAA output very meh and often wouldn’t bother listening. If GAA previews do get good numbers and they just aren’t bothering then that is poor.

Probably. But, most of us are paying (albeit a small amount) for content, and they shouldn't neglect their customers. Remember who pays the piper. I know it's a small amount, but it's the principle of the matter.

I didn't mind no preview of the GAA matches last Friday, but this week having a football show when there is no football on and no mention of the big GAA matches on this weekend makes no sense at all, I get that they can't please everyone all the time but still it's pretty bad on their part.

On the minuscule chance that someone on here has a spare ticket for the show in the liberty hall I'd absolutely bite your hand off!! World service member and all but alas wasn't up to date on the podcasts when it was announced

Eventbrite always puts people's names on the bloody tickets.

There was loads of people ready at the release time that didn't get tickets either.

I'd be surprised if you didn't get in due to no shows.

When tickets (or anything) are free, they are not as valued.

A wet day could see some people not bother. If you were prepared to have a pint in the pub beside it and bide your time, it might be worth it.

I may have a couple of spare tickets for the show on Thursday. Not sure how many though at the moment. Some people bailed.
