Fans are just retarded. Nice costume though with the wisdom tooth

They are not golf fans - same with many events in US.

I hate golf fans thinking they are a mad laugh - they typically aren't.

I found that funny to be fair. Loudest hole in golf, you know there's going to be some shouting. I laughed out loud when the second guy did it then :)

Poor putt by Tiger. Now that got a booooooo. Stupid.

Great putt by Spieth though for a 2.

You think Tiger would be ready for whatever.

Was a bit pathetic by Tiger. He is just playing bad and in bad form .

That 16th, dunno whether I like that set up or what. On the one hand the fans get something out of the game, on the other, as a player, they're just taking the piss.

I think the 16th is a farce. Very hard to take it seriously.

I like the 16th, most players seem to enjoy it as well.

Yeah the majority of the players love it. Including Padraig...
This is one of my favourite tournaments which makes it even better for it to be my season opener. What they have done with this tournament over the years is great and the highlight for me is the 16th hole - the atmosphere is great and it is like nothing we experience in golf. I am really looking forward to getting going.

I think if you're a pro playing in this tournament, you either have to embrace the madness that is the 16th or let it bother you, which probably won't help you to score well on the hole.

    The 16th is class!

I just watched the highlights of the 16th - why do some people have an issue with it?

They are infrequent tea drinkers at the Stuffy Fella

Tiger looks like he is melting down on shot tracker. Shame he won't be around for the weekend.

Not for me it isn't. We might get to see someone else.

He's just not driving it straight enough it seems.

Needs to focus a little less on getting his swing-speed to be as fast as possible and focus a little more on hitting the damn thing straight.

Tiger has just gone double, triple and now has to face the crowds at 16... say he will be in good form :D

I think his head has gone short game wise too. Apparently he has continued to fluff chips again today. He has zero confidence playing any loft.

Very sad to see, even if he was only there for two days he had a dramatic effect on viewing numbers

7 over for his day already. WTF :( really want to see himself, Rory, Speith and fowler going against each other.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,078 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That's shocking stuff from Tiger. So he won't be around for the weekend.....might make the TV coverage a bit more balanced, with neither Rory nor Tiger there.

With 3 holes to play he's +10 for the day. I played last sunday and shot 80. Does that make me better than tiger?!!

Tiger finishes with an 82. His highest round ever on tour.

Shocking, expected so much after his press conference earlier in the week, why the **** would he put himself in front of the world's cameras when he has these multiple issues to work through?

Because the media does good business on him and he has clubs, shoes and clothes to sell?

Playing tournaments is the best practice for him, he'll learn as much today as he has from thousands of balls the last few weeks. Lads it's his first tournament of the year, only his second since his return and change of coach. Give him some time.

In his press conference he was clearly happy with the way his game is progressing but i don't think he even thought he'd be competing this week, though I'm sure he's very disappointed with today's round.

Can't see Wood winning another tournament never mind a major. Glad we didn't have to watch today's carnage.

I'm sure a lot of people were saying that in 2013 too.

I'm not saying he'll win another major, but he will definitely win multiple more times on tour and I really don't understand after one weekend why so many people are writing him off completely for the rest of his career. The mind boggles.
