    what he do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,963 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Tiger looks like he is swinging very fast.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to this - as he is just working out a swing.

At one stage he looked a little physically uncomfortable - but, not with that last swing they played.

Bit strange to watch - but too early to say anything. Give it a month or two.

Basically just bladed a chip from 5 yards off the front of the green to over the back of the green. Had loads of room to work with as well. Decided just to putt the next shot from behind the green

Again - it means nothing at this stage.

But still is a very strange sensation to watch Tiger like this.

Very strange. Still draws the crowd though.

Golf struggling worldwide, did I read something like 5 courses closing a week in the states and needing an injection, Tiger this week and the tournament is pumping the 16th, hoping to get past 600,000 spectators in the week so they are doing their bit, that's a savage number...

I just can't understand why he can't take out his 3 or 5 wood and just to put the ball in play.

    It could be worse

No he did earlier ( I think) and was fairly bad too.

I was saying fast, lads on tv here saying fast in transition or getting blocked.

But no excuse for the short game. I really don't understand why he needed to change his technique or "release pattern" as he calls it. The likes of bubba doesn't really have a technique. Just great feel and creativity and Tiger just needs to get back to basics and having fun with the short game.

He put a huge putt (65 feet I think( beside the hole earlier - incredible cut.

About 3 inches for an eagle on 13. That's more like it.

You'd imagine there was a bit more than change for change sake.

He would have looked at his performance over last few years - and seen it as a problem.

    I hope anyway.

    OHHHHHHH YEA GO TIGER!

This is strange coverage - it is almost just one group , bizarre - you actually watch them walking off greens.

    Ridiculous.

Then one other shot - because they sort of have no choice. Then a stat, then a view of buba

    Then back to Tiger.

This is the Tiger show. And tomorrow we'll have the Rory show. It's the way the TV guys like to do it......but I'd say most TV viewers would like it different. We see every shot Tiger plays......he's only just in the top 50 FFS.

Some parts of Tiger's game may have changed but some certainly haven't... namely he still has learnt how to shout fore yet. He has been so wild today and not one call. Really pisses me off.

I hadn't noticed that with Tiger in particular, but I think it's inexcusable. Lazy or hoping for a ricochet?

I think it's a mix of the two combined with just having no respect or regard for anyone but himself.

Reed is another guy following in Tiger's footsteps in this regard, whereas Spieth is a complete contrast... always calls fore, polite, respectful, well brought up.
