Love to see Lowry win this.

He might have if he didn’t run into Rory, too good.

This Rory hasn’t been around for a while. Unbeatable like this!!

I know golf is trying to be casual with the phones.

But aren't people a bit daft just standing there recording golfers on their phone. Like will they ever actaully watch the inane footage of Rory just standing there.

Strange. Golf fans are odd. :D

It's not just golf. Its every live event nearly now. #insta

Fair play to Gmac. Some putt on the last to qualify for the open

Apart from that bogey, Rory is on fire..driving is majestic,a joy to watch and his wedges are brilliant.

Incredible that Rory only holed one long putt yet could shoot 59

Fabulous chip from Shane, that will guarantee second, delighted for him. Irish 1,2. Very long time, if ever, since that happened.

Why did McIlroy take Iron off the tee?

Irish 1-2 and another Irishman qualifying for his hometown open. Possibly greatest, non major tournament ever

Massive jump in world rankings for Lowry I would guess. Safe in top 50 for a while

probably to leave him his exact best club without trouble.

An Irish 1-2 on the PGA Tour. A privilege to watch, as it's highly unlikely it will ever happen again.

The stuff in the middle is a penalty zone

What a pity, but liked that he was really aggressive out of the bunker.

And then Simpson chips in from the heavy rough to share it. That had cost Lowry a fortune!

You nearly wet yourself. Still 60 isn’t too bad.

Can’t believe some people can still be salty watching that. A joy to watch.

Only 2 spots for the Open handed out in the end.

Sebastian Munoz the unlucky one, as McDowell bogey on 18 would have meant GMac and Munoz would have both gotten in.
