Plenty of Lee’s on the men’s tour Also

G Mac’s gone to the top of the leaderboard in Canada now. Huge few weeks for him so a really good finish here will set him on his way to Portrush which is enormous for him.

Also places with DJ and Tiger next week.

What result would get him in to Portrush this week? Just a win?
Really fancy him to do well next week... his game has been trending for a while now and obviously we know how he likes Pebble.

There are 3 spots for anyone finishing in the top 10. So top 3 in top 10 not already qualified will get a spot if that makes sense?

I see snedeker doing well also .. he has form around pebble

Just the 371 yards off the first tee from Rory. Converts for birdie anyway to take advantage of that length

Both Rory and Shane going fairly well today. Both tied 4th. Be great to see them going head to head down the back nine tomorrow for the title

Set up well for Irish viewing tomorrow. Rory ties for the lead and out in the final group. He has had his issues in this position lately too so will be a big day for him as he is heading into the major too.

Shane is only one shot back as well and that will suit him down to the ground. Will love to be in that position with plenty of good players around the top of the leaderboard too.

And then there is Gmac who will be fighting to get one of those tickets to the open at portrush.

Will be interesting to see how Rory copes with going out last, has struggled in the past. Hopefully he hasn't reserved his worst round of the week for Sunday.

The extra wedge seems to have made a huge difference. It's taken pressure off him mentally, more shots in the bag around the green. This is where he has been struggling the last while.

6 from 11 in lead or tie for lead is a good return

...Off to the perfect start, really unlucky not to hole out for eagle on 1, 3 very good shots on 2 for birdie...Looking good, Lowry will have to hole his putts soon to keep in touch with him...

Shane Lowry is a magician around the greens. Unreal

McDowell needs couple more to get into the Open

    Would be delighted for him

Back to back birdies anyway so maybe one more will get him one of those three spots as the top 6 players are already qualified

As it stands he would be in

Starting to think golf took back burner for him. Goes to show when he really wants it that he still has it

-9 would even be enough I'd say, as he's got a better world ranking than the other -9's in the clubhouse.

I know golf is trying to be casual with the phones.

But aren't people a bit daft just standing there recording golfers on their phone. Like will they ever actaully watch the inane footage of Rory just standing there.

Strange. Golf fans are odd. :D

Typical, 2 paddies top of the leaderboard and I'm stuck in a Spanish hotel.

Awful shot from Rory, he must be 36 feet away there!

    What a cracking putt

29 foot putt for par to come for G Mac on 18. Bogey would bring -9's up to T10, but danger would be Van Rooyen who is -8 after 16 and with a better world ranking.
