My gut feeling is this is an in-house attack.

I'm sure someone from outside the U.S would have went mega instead of what looks to be quite a mild explosion.

Also, explosions were small, pipe-bomb or hand grenade size. Not a commercial explosive and not a big quantity - too much flame and not enough blast, so amateur hour, but bloody dangerous amateurs considering the potential International repercussions. The footage on skys news was disturbing to watch. it's just a completely awful situation, and what makes it so much more terrifying to me personally is the fact that Boston always seemed like such a quiet, relatively safe state. My thoughts are with the people of boston
