Hmmm, problem is, I'm not really in a position to get a PC. I need a laptop for work, and I couldn't really justify buying a PC purely for gaming, especially when I don't actually do a lot of gaming. If anyone could suggest some suitable laptops for this game, even off the top off their heads, I'd appreciate it.

As for building my own, I can barely wire a plug let alone construct a computer!! :o

    Have a look here http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/

Might be ordering off them myself soon :).

I had a poke around on laptopsdirect, assuming wanting a sensible processor (i5 or greater) I only found one laptop under €700 with a halfway ok GPU. Christ laptop gaming is expensive. :/

Anyone think it will be cheaper to Pre order during steams July sales? Definatley want to Pre order it so I can get the 3 extra factions and then on day one Pontus is free as well. Since there's 9 factions to begin with and 4 free that's almost 50% extra free. Happy days. Now only if it weren't €55(will wait for the sales to see if it goes down)

Not sure to be honest, but with the current EU price, they're taking the piss - it's €20 cheaper on the Steam UK site. I can't see them discounting it enough to get it even close to that amount.

    Better off purchasing elsewhere, imo.

Not awfully bothered about the price. Obviously want it to be lower but I'm willing to pay the €55 if I'm getting the Greek states DLC with it.

Fair enough. Are you just looking for the key, or would you wait for a physical copy to be posted?

GreenManGaming have it for €55, but with a 25% discount code available on their website. I don't know how quickly you'd get the key after launch, but I'd guess it'd be instantaneous (or as close to as to make no difference).

Personally, I found a trader on SteamTrades.com who sold me a Steam copy for €25.

Got mine pre-ordered from Amazon, money's no object when it comes to Total War :pac:

Also, I notice a couple of familiar names popping up in the PC Building/Upgrading forum, it's definitely that time again ;)

Just remembered this thread over on TWC, coolguyrko. Might help you out!

Check out steamtrades.com - they use a rep system over there so you have a good idea if the guy you're dealing with is reliable or not. If you (or anyone else for that matter) want the name of the guy I bought from, feel free to drop me a PM.

Was that €25 for a digital download copy(day one) and the Pre oreder DLC or just the game. €25 is a fantastic deal for the game.

Ordered mine last night. I'm not sure what will hurt more. If my best legion gets crushed in battle or the hole left in my wallet. Nearly killed me to part with that much but I'm sure it will be well worth it

It's for a legit Steam copy, which will be gifted/traded into your inventory after you send the money via PayPal (which is why you need to check a user's rep first). Therefore it comes with the pre-order DLC and TF2 extras (if that even matters to you).

And with a bit of luck (or foresight on Steam's part), we'll be able to preload it a day or two before it goes live.
