I got this Nikon L810 for 150 euro brand new in Argos at Christmas for my missus.

Reduced from 308 euro to 150 euro.

    Fantastic camera for the money.

Went and bought one for myself too.:)

You have two of the same camera in the same house? could you not just share one and save a bit of money?

Is this the same camera that is over 300 sterling on amazon?

If it is I think it's a great deal, have been thinking about getting one for a while now, I might jump if this is the same one as Amazon.

The lens on the Argos 3100 is the non VR ( vibration reduction), wheras the Amazon model has the newer VR lens
This link suggest that the newer lens is much better

You will notice the lack of VR at 55mm in darker situations more than you'll notice the difference in optical quality. Mainly due to the ISO having to compensate.
Get something like http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/35mm-f18.htm and you'll have an amazing piece of kit. Perfect lense for most normal shots.

The cash back comes pretty quickly too. Bought a new camera and lense back in Jan and had the prepaid card two weeks later.

Just think its a bit mad to have bought two for the exact same camera in one house... could ye have not have just bought one and shared it to take photos on?

Think of all the LED bulbs you could have bought with the spare €150 you could have saved! :pac:

Yes I stated from the word go,that I bought her a camera for Christmas, and then I decided to go back and buy 1 for myself too.

Why is that a bit mad??

Cant 2 people not have a camera each??

She takes pics when she is out and about and also with regards her work/profession and I take pics of when I am out and about and also when we are out an about as a family

I dont think its 1 bit mad at all.:)

    This.

I bought the D3100 with the VR lens and never used it as I had the 35mm prime. Sold it for 100 bills on Adverts.

Cracking camera for the price though.
